That's not planned, but I will adjust the enemies UI to be smaller and less invasive

Thanks! Adding a Dwarf is not planned currently. However, depending on the reception when the game is released I might consider it as well as other possible extra contents

The enemy status bar is a bit abrasive. Is it really necessary that the player is aware of their opponent's exact health? Also, those blood decals and VFX from the orc fight in the snow really add to the game feel. You need to do something similar for the other enemies, skeletons and lava golem included. I think most of your animations and their implementation look pretty good. It's awesome that you've managed to give off such strong BoD vibes. This is an Unreal game, right? There are a couple animations which I don't recognize (I regularly scour the Unity Asset Store for melee animations).

Thanks for the comment! About the enemy status bar, it's something I plan to adjust, maybe making it a bit smaller and showing it only for the focused enemy. About VFX I might add dust or small rocks effects for skeletons and golems, and in general enemies that don't bleed. Yes, it uses Unreal engine, but I have made some adjustments and modifications to many of the animations to get the type of swing I have in mind in each case, make them work better during gameplay and also get that BoD vibes.

My only complaints so far is that some areas seem unnecessarily dark (though, could just be my phone) and the weapon trails are a bit too abrasive and make it hard to tell just what you're looking at. An option to disable those would be nice. Any chance this comes to consoles?

Some dark areas are designed to use a torch, others are dark but still can be navigated normally. About the trails, that's one thing that I will adjust before the release. Coming to consoles is a big investment for an indie game, so it's very unlikely for now

It's an independent game, but BoD is among the main inspirations, specially for the combat system, and pays homage to it and other fantasy classics
