Couple things I left out of the video: - ALWAYS equip Eagle Eye, Strengthen, Purify, Recover All, and Revive! - Status ailments can be annoying, ESPECIALLY Darkness. You can cure this with Purify which can be purchased at Guldove Home World! - Dreamer's Scarf is one of the best accessories that open up Eagle Eye instantly, OR turning the field to the color you want in order to summon!

I’ve played Chrono Cross a bazillion times and most people I see play it now have difficulty with using the field/summons and It’s HUGE part of the battle system. Thing I like to do in boss fights is go all in on attacks and charge everyone’s grid. Maybe do a few turn elements or buffs debuffs. Defend let the boss make an attack or so. Get everyone’s stamina to full level 7 right after the boss has attacked and just chain the crap out of elements just like you shown to do for the summons. Do this right and you can completely blow up a lot of bosses

This may get missed or unanswered but any input would be amazing. I'm curious, if I'm fighting a boss that is yellow innate. If I change a character to yellow, does this mean they will now have a defense buff against the bosses yellow elemental attacks while they're yellow or does this only work on lowering an enemies defense by changing their colors? Also, if I change an enemies innate color, will this change what elements their strong/weak against? Thanks for all your hard work!
@JRPG-Mickey7 ай бұрын
while fighting a yellow innate boss, changing a party member's innate to yellow will give a defensive buff to the enemy's physical attacks, and yellow elemental attacks. Changing the enemy that is innate yellow to say Black, would make the enemy more susceptible to an innate White character's attacks, and white elemental attacks/spells

I don't remember being like this in the psx so is it a Radical dreamers bug???

The video content is very interesting and well explained. However the background music messes all up. It seems different songs have different volume thresholds and overall BM volume level is high, so at places instead of BM it becomes FM(foreground music). I can barely hear the explanations. I would advice you to put BMs volume significantly lower. Also the music itself ... I guess it is subjective but these BMs are very intrusive - they draw the attention to themselves. TBH on the 5th minute I was going to close the video. Only my interest on the subject kept from doing so, yet I had to take a break before continuing. P.S. Please understand I'm not trying to make the video looks bad. I think the explanations is top-notch.

Lol I see you're showing footage of you going into the Earth Dragon isle early. Smart move. But you don't have any thieves for some reason! You know that you can literally steal Mythril & even Denadorite EXTREMELY early by going there even before the SS Invincible stuff? You can even sometimes steal Cloud Capes from the Bombs those Fossicker guys throw out. The Rockroach enemies that sometimes appear with them will even drop Denadorite as a common drop! It's insane to be able to get those materials this early, well before you even have access to Mythril or Denadorite weapons. I always spend a few hours here as soon as I get Kid back to steal some of this stuff as well as try to steal some Cloud Capes which are amazing pieces of armor this early on. Those bad guys aren't that hard to kill either if you just load up on your most powerful elements or use a spell like LoRes on them since their Defense is super high for that point of the game. Their magic resistance isn't tho. Strengthen of course helps but even when u strengthen Kid or Mel they will still do like 3 damage per hit even w Fierce attacks without using LoRes on the enemy. I just chain strong elements specially green ones while i'm down there & it's not too hard. Either way they are WAYYYY easier than trying to fight those airframe things in the Isle of the Damned which the best thing you can get from them is Mythril. Not worth it at all, specially when Mythril is a common drop from just about everything in the Earth Dragon Isle, and they hit WAY lighter than those Airframes. Those things r a nightmare at this point in the game. At the same time Airframes can drop SealAll and have Elbow Pads for their rare steal so that might be worth it, but I haven't been able to come up w a decent way to not die against them. If they don't kill you w their attacks they will w their insta death ones. Any tips?

Quick question about trapping elements. Trapping an element gives you a single use element to use, but is this also the case for Summons? When you trap a Summon are you only able to use it once & then it's gone forever?
@JRPG-Mickey2 жыл бұрын
Actually, none of the elements are gone forever with the exception of consumables (Tablets, Nostrums, Antidotes, etc). Summons are just like the other elements in that you can use them once per battle! Unfortunately you can't equip more than 1 summon on a character, but there ARE ways to "restore" elements after you've used them! Namely the Chrono Cross Element and through Leena's Level 3 Technique I believe!
@skins4thewin2 жыл бұрын
@@JRPG-Mickey So when you trap an element its not just a single use element that you trap? It becomes like the others, one that you can use again and again? That's all I'm wondering about, if trapping an element gives you a one time use consumable element/spell or one that's like most where you can use it as much as you want.
@JRPG-Mickey2 жыл бұрын

These are some very high level tips here! The only issue with regularly implementing all of these things is for normal playthrus this basically breaks the game & makes it completely devoid of any challenge. Just saying, It's always great to be overpowered, but may want to be forewarned about that vs just playing how you see fit. If you're a skilled player you may want to not implement these strats in order to have a bit more fun with the game.

@@JRPG-Mickey Oh for sure, but I just thought it was worth mentioning how easy all these advanced tactics can make the game. It’s quite simple you cast them wait until an enemy cast it you steal one. You can’t cast more than one at an time. Certain enemies won’t cast them you fight them for example red wolf is an summon that can only be cast by the fire level dog home world the dogs must be by themselves. Shadow cast mothership need to be in valley where the bird was in a world. The bird cast the white element in home world over looking the path. Green is whey the green dragon is got to fight the bug enemies needs to be two of them. The yellow is on the marsh a Another world. You needed to have full colors so bear that in mind. Some of the bosses will cast level five and level six elements you can trap so make sure you can check out the boss battles for there patterns

Just want to point out that you misspoke there at 7:34, He's doing 25% more damage, not 125% lol. If he was doing 125% more damage the damage boost would be STRATOSPHERIC! Just saying, your terminology is incorrect. You should have dropped the word "more" if you wanted to say 125%, as yes he's doing 125% damage in that case, not 125% MORE damage. 100% is a baseline for completely unbuffed or unhindered damage. But when you're talking about MORE, you drop the 100% as that's a given. 125% more damage would mean his damage is literally being more than doubled lol which is obviously not the case here. You likely should have just been consistent w the rest of the vid & just said that he's doing 25% more damage.
