I absolutely love the touches in the musical to ensure everyone gets to face down Lavos, adapting it so that they have the fabric of time actually on their side for the final battle to get past the 3 person limit usually forced on them. The fact Gaspar forshadows "Time would have to be very Desperate" back when we first meet him and now we get the combination of the party fighting Lavos the traditional way getting rescued by the last invention of Balthazar and their friends for a final showdown

I have to give credit to juno's work on this. It really feels like an alien invasion with all these lovecraftian versions of the old bosses, i really really love them. I thought you would skip this part and simply use world revolution for the fight against both the shell and the second form, but I'm more than happy to see you not only used this part but managed to make it interesting and full of tension and horror. I love the detail in the art of Lavos taking the form of other bosses, since in the game he uses all the bosses attacks. Thats a very fun way to portray that mechanic.

The three people rule doesn’t make sense when you take into account the campfire where they fix Robo. It DOES make more sense if you count it as only three people NOT native/originating in that time period. (There are 7 because Robo used a Loophole, traveling the long way)

Gaspar said that three people at a time could travel through the gates. The loophole to me is that while three people at a time could go through, six people could go through in packs of three. That’s why my theory was 3 people engage Lavos through the Omen, three people use the epoch to crash into lavos, and one person uses the bucket at the end of time.

Great music as always, Since the end of time song mentioned only three could go, unless they were willing to take a risk (don't remember the exact wording) I always thought the finale would end with everyone, and its great to see I was right! The choruses of this musical were easily the best parts for me, so I look forward to hearing each and every one of them in the next coming tracks :D

This was awesome! The remix of the first boss fight gives me goosebumps: it sounds so triumphant and I love the duel between Lavos' confidence and certainty versus the trio's determination and echoing the words of the past they've been trying so hard to protect. Definitely going to be replaying that section a lot! Then the transition into Lavos' theme basically takes all that hope and triumph and throws it out the window. It's beautiful. And of course, I love the way you guys had all of the characters being able to participate in the battle using the Epoch. (RIP Epoch you'll be missed.) Everyone did an excellent job in this number, though I have to give props to Sym, Chi-Chi, and Upgraded Moon (you guys rocked it) for their work in the first segment. I'd also like to shine a bit of light on Steel's work with Robo. He sounds so cool and confident, and he's come so far from his introductory song, from not even being able to address everyone casually because of his programming to 'yeah let's break the rules of space and time to save our friends, it'll be fine'. The echo of Lucca's lines from the initial teleporter machine in his dialogue was also a nice touch, so thank you to the writers for throwing that in. All in all, well done everyone, and I'm looking forward to the next track! Also, going to echo a lot of the other comments, but Juno's art work here really blew me away. Seeing all the Lavois-ified designs of previous bosses was really cool, and the pieces in the video (notably the Masamune vs. Lucca and Nizbel vs. Chrono pieces) were incredibly dynamic. Plus, the Magus artwork with him on the airplane fighting were very fitting: Magus has always been a solo act, so having his (potentially) last moment in the musical being him, alone, fighting against himself and Lavos to help accomplish his goal makes a lot of sense for the character. Excellent work, man!

Well, now we know for sure which ending they'll be ending this series on! Been wondering this whole time. Though honestly, such a dramatic twist they put in the Lavos fight by having everyone come together at the end. To save the world's future, they risk destabilizing time itself! A nice way to tie everything up and have everyone together to, I assume, sing the Lavos fight!

My personal favorite theory is that you CAN actually travel to this point in time in groups of more than 3, because Lavos is wearing down the very fabric of time itself when it's emerging from its pocket time-dimension thing, and/or because the Entity ie. time itself is allowing it because they're ready to face Lavos. Doesn't make it any less awesome though, and I for one welcome the change! Wouldn't be a "world revolution" if part of your party is blocked out of the fight. Hell, I would even imagine Fiona, Tata, Leene, King Guardia, the friendly Medina imps, Kino, and other minor characters cheering the main party on, no matter how illogical it might be.

@@sera-ch Better yet, the theory that Lavos was summoned after the events of the Black Omen could work. After defeating Queen Zeal, the Black Omen was swallowed up right before Lavos appeared. With the Omen practically in it's own time bubble - existing in all time frames in seemingly the same exact moment - time itself in that palace is warped. In that respect, the heroes could easily be in all the time frames at once because they're in the Black Omen's personal time-warp bubble. And since they encountered Lavos from the Omen, his summoning can also be considered a part of the time-warp bubble. That would make them being now in 1999 AD in this musical make sense since they're in all time frames at the same time. P.S., it's been so long since I geeked out about theories regarding Chrono Trigger; since high school! Thanks MOTI for bringing that back out of me!

I love the way you played the fight thus far. You managed to make it sense that they could beat him without the concept of levels and experience being a thing in here. The fact that it starts off as a fight only for Lavos' overwhelming might to make their efforts futile is just something that makes this realistic. The crash of the Epoch being needed to give them even the slightest chance is great. And I'm sure when the full script comes out the abrupt change from Magus, Ayla and Chrono to Chrono, Marle and Lucca will make sense. I'm hyped for the impending finale.

I’m starting to get a sinking feeling in regards to the ending they’re going for, considering how the MOTI crew has been getting inclusive with certain story elements. Prime examples would be this moment in which the route to Lavos must be chosen and the North Cape. A choice must be made both times, yet the whole party is tackling multiple access points to all reach Lavos together. Then there’s the combination of actually fighting Magus at the cape which should result in his death and the alternative to having him join the party by opting not to fight at all. Both options were seamlessly tied into one narrative. With that being the case, I sense that the Lavos fight is going to end with a major character death since one of the game’s endings includes Glenn’s curse lifting as a result of said death.

I don't see any characters dying. I think the ending will be the one you get if you crash epoch into Lavos. (The ending where everyone goes to their own time, frog is still a frog and Crono and Marle float away on the balloons.) I guess we will wait and see.

Wow.... Two routes at once.... You know, in this context it makes sense to throw everything they have at Lavos considering how powerful it's implied to be. And one could argue time is already destabilized because of the time gates existing...and the additional destabilization from this final battle could be an in universe explanation for how the El Nido archipelago came to be. I know the team isn't tackling Chrono Cross, which is both understandable and sensible because that game - as much as I love it - has a VERY weak plot that is hard to follow sometimes, but I choose to believe the events still take place in this continuity. So I rather like the change the MOTI team made here. Also the reprise of Lavos' Theme is awesome... And the overall feel of a song battle taking place. Screw it, I love everything about this installment!

@@ElvenRaptor Just do musical bytes. Its the only way to even cover a handful of the songs without suffering an massive coronary stroke from trying to make sense out of the plot.

Not to mention that the planet is letting them do all this stuff. Cross I rather relegate it to a very bad dream. It makes no sense and doesn't connect at all with Trigger.

@@andresmarrero8666 Still a fun game, though. And the music is enchanting. Plus the art style is VERY pretty. It's one major flaw is it's plot.

@@Ilikecatsismychannelname it is decent game for those qualities, no one argued that but it doesn't connect with Trigger at all and is much better served as its own game. In trying to force such a connection, Squar Enix only Cross look that much worse. It really goes to show how much story and plot actually matters because it is for those reasons why Cross is outright rejected. For RPGs the story and plot is of the upmost importance and Cross doesn't have a good one.

I think they were able to at least limit the damage Lavos could do. While Lavos would still kill a lot of people they'll eventually recover, it won't be as bad as the timeline where Lavos is allowed to continue uninterrupted.
