I missed this dude. I loved seeing his videos. My favorites were probably his Witch Encounter video and also his Spleef Animation video. I always watched those. Earlier, I actually remembered this channel and checked it out. Then realized what had happened. I wanted to see the comments but Coppa, you know. So I searched SlamACow up and found this video. @@ChronoFury One more thing i found out (i think i searched that up in late 2019 or so), was that he originally started the minecraft animations for his little brother which had some kind of disease, as kinda minecraft being the part of life they could enjoy together. The "death of a family member" was (with a high chance, couldn't find a proof for that), the death of his brother, causing him to stop doing minecraft animations probably because it brought back some bad memories.

Simply put it i think he just moved on and grew as a creator..to think he was going to stick with Minecraft forever is silly. Thanks ChronoFury. Wanted to know for sure what happened. I was not a child when I started to watch Slamacow. More like a teenager going into young adulthood. So, I cannot share his channel with my childhood like comments here displayed. And not really a Minecraft player. But the videos did make an impact on my animation journey. It encouraged me to continue animation at the time. Well, 3d modelling mostly too. However, I am not into animation much anymore, still do 3d models though. Well, time to time. But his channel was one which I appreciated for it. And seeing the progress it made. I came into his channel a little later. Like maybe two years after Witch Encounter was created. Probably. And no, not because he stopped, I stopped. Animation was not my idea of what I wanted to do in my time at this time. Well, not hardcore animator or anything similar to that. My favourite and still remember and come back from time to time on Slamacow is the Minecraft Witch Encounter.

I used to check his youtube channel every day for a new uploads then I stopped trying now I'm looking at it again and yet I think it's dead used to watch slamacow when i was on middle school now I'm at college god time surely flies by

There were videos on his channel before the Skyblock one, according to some texts in the video descriptions he even had an older channel before. But then he removed and re-uploaded a bunch of them, due to music-copyright as far as i remember. Most of his classic ones are even listed as being re-uploads. But i think he didn't reupload all of them. I remember that there were other, more simple videos about minecraft mobs running around in his apartment, similar to the "wallet" video but more primitive in terms of animation (well, they were made like 4 years before that). At least one where a spider mob got squashed.

With all the minecraft upgrades that we've been getting I was hoping he would come back. I still hope he does, eventually. He meant so much to me when I was in middle school and watched his videos over and over with my friends. I remember watching From the Ground Up premiere at minecon 2012. It was one of the coolest fucking things I think I've ever seen come out of anything at that point in my life. It was the highest of minecraft animation, and it was a killer song that I still know all the words to to this day. I think that was one of the biggest highlights to my childhood.

He was a true og mc animator along with element animation and Blue Monkey. Many of us Minecraft animation channels, have moved on from minecraft, because what if I told you, the community is secretly dying. It was truly dead until ZAMination started making this style popular again. But then almost everyone moved on. Half of the community got hired for amazing projects from video games to movies. Its a truly amazing community with such accomplishment people have made over the years. Aside from that, people will always remember how important minecraft animation was to youtube. But its also hard to grow more views for mc animations because mostly people don’t want to keep making content for children,. They would want to make more variety instead of babysitting random children.
