Thank you. My wife was on the road 5 hrs from home 10:00 at night when this happened. She was stressed and worried. I needed to know what to tell her to do. Your video help me to explain to her what was happening and it helped calm her. She go to some civilization and then shut it down and when she restarted the error was gone. Mine just did it. It's the throttle control system. Clean with throttle body clearner. Fixed problem. If dosent,get new throttle control system,replace. Yall have a blessed day

I have an electrical nightmare. I replaced the throttle body and the accelerator sensor issue still happens. I have a constant electrical forced and I cannot get the flap to move at all it is stuck at negative 100.

Hey everyone I have a 2008 Jeep Wrangler Sahara 3.8 l V6 and it keeps tossing a electronic throttle light and also the ABS light. No check engine. My Jeep has a 1360:00 miles on it every time these 2 sequential lights come on I have rough idle goes into limp mode rpm to be around 1200 rpm a cetera and so forth anyway so because she has so much time on it I was just going to replace the ETC but my question is do I need to have it taken to a mechanic to be re learned on the throttling for my engine?

Hello, good video overall Everything you said makes sense, I had the same issue last week with my 06 300. I was getting the the throttle control light with the ESP at the same time, after driving for short time, I replaced the throttle body, That did not fix the problem, I noticed i was getting a heavy air leek on the EGR metal tube that connects to the Intake manifold, I change the rubber seal put everything back to normal and so far problem solved 👍👍

Thanks for the advice. I will get back to you when I get my car checked out. It's not a 300 but it is a Chrysler 2007 Sebring. My engine light did come on then the lightening bolt. Prior to those two lights the oil pressure sensor light.

Great video, answered my ??? why my scanner did not detect a ATC code? My 2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee has the the lightning bolt? Good point about buying dealer, genuine Mopar parts! Auto companies standards of quality are higher than after market. Though auto companies are only required, by federal law, to provide replacement parts for their cars for 10 years!

Changed my old throttle body with one I found at the junk yard. Problem returned. I guess its either change the computer or pull over and cycle the key from now on.

I have a 2008 dodge charger and I have the same problem. I have tried what he is talking about and has worked. There is also another video that will show you how to recalibrate the throttle body and that help the problem a little longer to. I have almost 200,000 on my car. But I also just had my motor rebuilt but the part was not replaced.

krm2032 the order of diagnosing that type of issue is to first see what the check engine codes are. Then fix what the check check engine codes are. Once you fix those issues and reset the light see if that fixes your etc light. If your check engine light stays off and your etc light only comes on after replace your throttle body

I have 3 Lexus vehicles (2) ES300's and (1)RX350...all totaling 730'000+++ miles and None of my vehicles have ever needed a throttle body Chrysler/Dodge plays these games. Even installing a specific "built in lightning bolt "crap to officially screw us that's a scam from them the fact it has that lightning bolt alone is shady because it is a well known issue and they want to capitalize on it....

I have the same car 06 300c srt8 my car was shutting off while driving i took it to my mechanic he said there was a leak with the radiator he fixed that for 500 the same thing happened i took it back he said i need a new throttle body and air filter i got a bbk brand new throttle body and replaced my k and n air filter. It hasnt shut off since but im still getting a p2110 code for the throttle body. I restarted the computer and it was better actually driving without feeling like it was going to shut off with no codes them the code came back p2110 im starting to think i need to perform a throttle relearn since i completely skipped that step but im not sure.

You might be able to get the error code you want from the screen display. If you press the Note 🎵 on the left hand side and the Compass 🌐on the right hand side for about five seconds that will bring up a sequence of 11 diagnostic and information displays which you can scroll through with the up-and-down buttons on the left hand side. One of the displays is last error code.

Lightning bolt came on in my 2006 magnum 3.5 it turned out to be Egr tube gasket going into back of plastic intake got sucked into motor! Easy fix! I was lucky!

I recently took my 3.5L Chrysler 300 2006 to a mechanic , they don’t know exactly what could be causing all my codes. One night parked my car cane out 2 hours later my car is stuck in park and in limp mode with 26 codes. My car also does very often with a weak turn over, idle is stuck @ 3000 rpms while driving ??? Any info would help.

If your shifter is stuck in park...a little piece of plastic has broken off. There are tons of videos and fixes for this.. look it up.

My wrangler has a hard start changed. Crank shaft sensor ignition coil. Also my ⚡️ symbol is on. When I reset it goes away but will come back on within a hour. And my temp gauge goes to cold. Can this be a problem of hard start ? Or air in system that will make it over heat after 2 hours ?

had my spark plugs replaced and they broke the intake or egr tube and was caused a vacuum leak leading to the red lighting bolt and my car limp mode could be the issue if you have a vacuume leak near your intake

Hi, I started getting lightning bolt warning while in ignition but goes away when engine turned on. But only able to drive very slow. When tried to throttle its little to no power then and then. Oil change was due so I got it topped up first and the problem disappeared. Throttle response is now okay I think but the lightning bolt warning stays with check engine. It doesn’t go away like before. What do I do now. Someone help please. Thanks!

Had similar issue with 2006 3.5L V6, but also had the Stability Control light on as well. Car wouldn't start. Cleaned the throttle body with throttle body cleaner. Got car to start. Seemed fine. Then 5 minutes later lights would come on, engine would sputter, then run at high RPM. Lived with this for a while then took to repair shop where smoke test revealed leaks in gaskets. They replaced gaskets and all is now fine.

Hello....i have a 06 chrysler 300, 2.7l engine....my lightening bolt light came on and car started jerking and slowing down....took it to the mechanic and he ran tests and code came up bad throttle body....so he replaced it with a new one....car ran ok for a couple of days but then the lightening bolt light came back on as i was driving on the freeway.....towed it back to my mechanic....he turns the car on and no lightening bolt light comes on....he kept the car for 3 days and ran it long distances....says light never came back on and car ran fine....i pick up my car and it drive ok for the day but that night the light came back and car started to shake again....i don't know what else to do....could it be the MAP SENSOR? CAN ANYONE HELP WITH ADVICE...

Oh yeah Before cleaning it,should have been able to cut car off,then turn key on,(dont start car tho) for few seconds,then Turn key off,turn key back on few seconds, then start car,should have reset it,light should be off,if not or it comes on and flashes agin,then try cleaning with spray,OFF OF the car,its the back side that is problem,front u gunna think why the f55k I gotta clean it,shidd look brand new,its the back. I have a question. I don't think it has to do with this but here goes. My Chrysler 300 was stored for about 2 months in the garage and without knowing it somehow the truck wasn't closed all the way and drained the battery completely. The key fobs wouldn't work at all no lights nothing not even a click like the engine trying to turn over. I have been trying to get it started by jumping in in my garage but all get is the clicking sound now and very dim lights for just a few seconds then it won't do anything. the battery is just over two years old and never had a problem until now. My question is I heard that I might have to disconnect the battery completely to reset everything before it will start even if the battery is still good? Please I'm definitely not a mechanic and have no way to tow my car twenty miles away to have someone look at it. Any advice on what it could be or what I should do would really be appreciated. thanks

I have a 2006 Chrysler 300 that was running fine but had a lifter tick. I found 5 bad lifters and replaced all 24 of them and put in new spark plugs while I was at it. Once I got it back together it turns over good, but won’t start. The ETC light is now on as well as the CHECK ENGINE light. Everything is assembled and plugged in correctly. Any ideas? The car has 200k miles, is it coincidence that the throttle body could have gone out while I was working on it?

My car dies while parked, driving or anything. Parked it dies and I have to restart it but if I’m going fast enough my car just starts back up in less than a second when I’m driving. This is common for these lemon Chrysler's. I'm almost sure it's either the ECM/PCM unit, EGR valve, crankshaft sensor or throttle body. All these are common for 300s & 200s & sometimes even fuel pump issues. Chrysler should be ashamed of demselfs

I have the same problem except for my truck just when it run no more and I've replaced spark plugs coils starter battery cranking cam sensors and then I had somebody erase everything off the computer and reprogram it and then it finally started but it kept dying and I replace the fuel pump and now it stays running I've replaced the throttle body two times and I've tried relearning it I even had somebody try relearning it off their computer but it will not work the light won't go off and you could give it a little throttle the RPMs come up a little bit but pretty much you got no throttle control before when the truck wasn't running really you could give it throttle in the voltage wasn't changing on the computer so you can tell they weren't talking they are now but the throttle body still is not opening

Anything is possible. Typically a no start would be a fuel delivery, ignition system, or engine failure issue

We just bought a 2013 Chrysler 300c series about a week ago. We haven't had any issues at all until I drove it today. Everything was working properly there wasnt any lights on the dash or anything. Came home and parked. A few hours later I went to leave and it would not start. The lightening bolt symbol came up. Jumped it and it started but couple hours later same thing. Now just the check engine light is on. Any suggestions on what to do and what would cause this? Thank you!

My throttle body is aftermarket but the dealership installed it bout 5 or 6 years ago and i've had no problems until this morning. I only took it to the dealership because some people said it had to be programmed but i don't know how true that is.

My light came on while on the expressway and my engine revved up like it was out of gear. Sort of putting the transmission in low gear while driving at 70mph. I put the trans in neutral really quick turned the engine off then back on. The light went off and the truck drove fine. What's your opinion on that?

Jen first thing to diagnose is the p90400 which is a generic egr code fix that issue and see if it fixes the other issue

I've been having this problem randomly and I think it's due to my electronic throttle controller that I hooked up. As soon as I put it in the lightning bolt turned on but now on occasion the boat will start to blink and it will accelerate real high until I stop the car pull over and turn it off and let it sit for a minute then turn it back on and it'll be fine except for the light still being on obviously. I'm wondering if it even is the throttle controller? I have a 2012 Dodge Charger RT Max with the Hemi and I have the 2020 dash gauges installed so maybe that could play a part I don't know

@Major Steve Austin I cleaned my throttle body and changed my battery and its been good for a while now. The battery does all sorts of weird things on these cars.

Make sure your throttle position sensor connector is secure where you plugged in your throttle controller on each end, and make sure to tell the vehicle the values of throttle input. On my throttle controller, you press memory and down for the lowest input. And with the foot all the way down on the gas you press memory and up for the highest input. Then take your foot off the gas and start it. It needs to sync to your pedal sensor and throttle body by doing this.

I had this issue replaced throttle body; car turned over twice then it did not turn over or start again - I called my auto shop and was told the new throttle body had to be relearned - basically reprogramming/flashing the PCM Do you know (or anyone know) if that reprogramming will complete the issue? 2013 300s 5.7L awd

That actually really helped me because my car did the same exact thing and with me being a woman I need someone to go into debt because I don't know anything about cars. So Matt my car basically did the same exact thing it through a check engine light and a lightning bolt light I lost all power but the difference between mine is is mine will not start. I had a friend of mine come out and hook it up to a scanner and it didn't throw a code just like you said that it wouldn't. My sister's husband thinks it jump time I don't know how he came to this conclusion but that's what he said when I told him the symptoms. Another friend of mine looked at it and he said he thinks it's the camshaft position sensor. Would you happen to have a Facebook or a work phone number I could call and ask a couple questions?

Lightning bolt comes on only when it is cold. WTF. Fine in spring and summer. Weather gets cold and it starts to come on again.
