Are you two fans of the adaptive dampening system in your cars? That's one upgrade I think I'd really like to add to my car that wasn't an option and isn't supported by the aftermarket so I'd have take the factory parts. Worth it?
@Welcometofacsistube4 жыл бұрын
snek love it actually. It's noticeable and works great. On sport, it holds the 4400 lbs well. Its no viper but its surprisingly agile. It's the small ass tire size that holds the car back.

@@Welcometofacsistube That's good to hear, I have a '14 300C AWD, didn't go SRT cause I wanted AWD. I'm pretty much working my way towards making a AWD SRT. The shocks are one difficulty that's complicated but I think worth it. It appears most of the computers themselves are largely the same, I have the SRT pages and such, others have swapped dashes, etc. So I think I can buy all the Adaptive Dampening parts and integrate them. Pricey proposition though, hopefully this summer I can hunt down a totaled SRT to snag everything I want from it.

The srt8 300 got pulled just as FCA was getting really good with high performance models with dodge and Jeep honestly I bet the 300 would have had a boost in sales with a 392 300 people love sleeper cars and a 300 srt8 that has different performance, suspension, and brakes packages with no hellcat, 392, other badges on the side would be really cool for the true dark dark I am different then everyone else buyer. Also please add something somewhere about one of the coolest options they ever had that Chrysler dropped, the heated and cooled cup holders that were awesome! Until you have had a car with truly usable and effective ones like the 300C had. You don’t know what your missing. Thanks, keep up the great work! (First video I have watched, I’m sure I’ll be a pain and correct some other stuff) (ones I have owned) 07 jeep SRT8, 09 Jeep SRT8 highly moded and magnussen supercharged, 08 charger superbee, moded and supercharged, 12 challenger moded and yes you guessed it supercharged, 2012 300C SRT8, 13 300S Hemi AWD about to be moded, multiple SRT10 Rams including of course a supercharged one, 15 Reg cab on the way, 2 vipers and many more I’m sure I’m forgetting about. FCA axed a lot of good power train options in the line up that could have been better with time. For example, the 4.7 Magnum V8 was just starting to put out 310 hrs power and 330 ft lb. torque when it got cut in 2013. It still had a lot to give!

I have a 2014 (actually 2013 according to VIN) SRT Core in Australia. It is incredibly economical for a barge, getting 9litres/100km ( about 26mpg)on trips and love it. Tons of performance from an under-stressed 392 and it’ll still look good in 20 years. Occasionally I’ll take it for a “sporting” drive and it never disappoints. Service costs are a bit high but that’s mainly because I take it to the Chrysler dealer, and much of that is the “West Australia tax” kicking in. Handles better and uses less gas than my old BMW 5-Series so I’m pretty happy. It’s sad to see they’ve dropped them and no more will be coming to Aus. Downside: visibility is an issue with the high glass line and it’s easy to just not see those stupid divider kerbs car-park architects insist on. And ground clearance is a thing - lost count of how many times I’ve chunked the front spoiler or bottomed-out on badly designed ramps or speed-bumps. Not so much these days as I actively look for them in advance. But it endures and is a beautiful car on a trip. Also a scratch magnet - fuckwits with SUVs can not resist opening doors against it or dragging shopping bags along the paint. The car park designers think we all drive Hyundai Getz these days.

My Wife has one in the garage 2013 model year. I think we have 8,000 miles on it,and it is fully loaded. We bought a 2017 Ram Sport 4x4 and that is what she drives. I have a 2018 Ram Sport 2 wheel drive I use for work. It is odd how you can own such a beautiful car that is fast,and not drive it. The Sport 4x4 has ram boxes and is the night edition,same as my 2018. I have a lead foot so I do not take the 300 out very often. The 300 was ahead of the other SRT models in 2013 when it comes to technology. There are 3 driving modes and launch control. We have debated selling it ,and I have been thinking seriously about taking it to a well known speed shop for upgrades. getting it to 600 HP would make it very competitive with today's big dogs like Hell cat Aside from horsepower I would add tire size simular to scat pack. I have with launch control gotten a 3.8 0 to 60,almost broke my neck when it spun for a split second then hooked. I have the time slip. I had to let off immediately after 60,do to not wanting to crash. The much wider tires would correct that. So considering the year and the investment to add performance up grades it will make a great project car that has the luxury sedan look and feel.

My 2012 300 SRT is the best car I have ever owned - fast - handles well - looks good! The ONLY way I would trade it would be for a 300 Hellcat...
@snek93534 жыл бұрын
THIS is exactly why sales dropped after 2012. Everyone that wanted one bought in 2012 then nothing was upgraded so there was no reason to trade it in on a better one.

Mercedes is a big part of this cars existence, starting from the E class platform it uses,(S class suspension on the challenger) And I'm almost 100% sure the SRT line up with an idea from Mercedes so that they could have an AMG like division... The performance/track Computer menu for SRT models use is similar to what the AMG models had at the time...

I have the real reason it got cancelled is mostly because the company was in financial ruins... most likely Auto industry today every car manufacturer has the same problem and that's the fact they can't sell you a new car why because they cost too damn much!! On top of that the auto manufacturers biggest competitor happens to be all of the products they have produced every year for at least the past 10 years otherwise known as the used car market!! But of course the biggest competitor to the new and used car markets happens to be the repair market... As in when money's tight people have a tendency to just fix what they have rather than go by a new or a new used vehicle!! So if all of the automaker's would get with thetimes and lower the prices and actually want to sell in volume then perhaps it would be better for everyone!!

Agreed completely...........I just wish Washington had not put us in this position in the first place . If I made what my company paid in 1995 (inflation calulator) I would be making $48 a hour right now. Then I could afford a new car.
@jchang33134 жыл бұрын
sadly, it appears car companies have done the opposite and are getting rid of less expensive models in favour of better profit margins.

I really like the look of the 300 srt8 and its a shame they didn’t sell better. As a buyer, it would’ve been cool if they kept the 392 300 going just for the sake of having a cheaper alternative to the Charger. I’d imagine that they’d be deeply discounted if they just sat on dealer lots.

Got an 2006 str8 also. Does yours automatically shift into 2nd gear once it detects wheelspin in the 4000 rpm and above range. With traction control off and auto stick. Infuriating! 🤬🤬🤬 hoping a diablo tuner can eliminate that. Any ideas?

Funny story. I am thinking about building a project car that I can afford. So the idea I thought of last night was to take a Porsche Boxster 6 speed manual and build a turbo V6 and put it in a 300M. Not really related to the video but it is a 300.

Chrysler 300C and Dodge Magnum were built on Mercedes W211 platform. So yeah, for the first time in American history an American car could compare to Mercedes AMG. Because it WAS the Mercedes AMG.

If the 05-10 SRT8 had the 11-20 interior in it, That would be my perfect 300C SRT8. The current one looks fine, it's just that the rear looks less good (aside from the LED night lighting), and the rear looks less finished than the 05-10 one. IMO the 05-10 model just has more presence.
