Not that good of a highway cruiser... Going from a c5 Audi 4.2 v8 to the srt8 300c is day and nite... The Audi is smooth, super quiet and loves highway speeds.. The srt8 gearing sucks. It's a much harsher ride and louder (road noise). Still love my srt8. Just wasnt the cruiser I thought it would be. Wife and I owned these since 09 , we loved them so much I , had 2 hemi 5.7 and a 6.1 SRT8 as well as a 6.4 SRT at the same time LOL Look, feel and sound amazing, destroyed many local bogan mobiles, Thing is, you do anything to mod this car it will always pull heads, you cannot go back, Ended up with a 6.1 Jeep and a 6.4 Jeep as well, just insanely reliable and tough. Best thing is that the water pump and other parts are almost interchangeable , Pricing wise you’re a bit off, The V6 and the diesel are the cheap ass ones you see for 10k+ but still similar look, SRT Having different front and rear bumpers, lowered and bigger wheels and brimbo brakes. I think you missed heaps of points in the video. The SRT hold their value well. 25k+ and they’re more rare now than they used to be, not to mention the touring that is super rare. Also If you were to press and hold the compass and music note keys on the steering wheel at the same time for 5 seconds you would have been able to access the secret “Easter egg menu” and it had more options including the 0-100 timers on those 06 to 11 models. But you covered allot too .

I've had one of these for a couple of years, despite it's weight it handles much better than people expect, it's got a very stiff chassis and I put 275 tyres all round to get rid of some of that understeer, give a bit more grip at the back and have the ability to rotate the tyres. The only complaints I have about the car is it never came in manual and they made the interior roof of the car white for some reason...why? I can't see myself ever selling it though, and it's been nice to see the SRT8s in my state go up in price since I bought it!

9k for a srt8 mate put down the meth pipe. That ain't no crappadoor or shitbox xr8 at those prices you only get the regular 5.7 hemi 300c not the srt8
@RossReviewsau4 жыл бұрын
I was pricing them all together 5.7 + 6.1 the owner of this car got the SRT8 for the lower of my figured but yes very difficult to find a SRT8 for that price.. closer to 20

The title should be the audience take on an American muscle car
@pub60233 жыл бұрын
America stopped selling it locally because it was killing the overpriced Dodge/Jeep offerings it was competing with hands down, the 300C SRT8 had more bang for your buck.....simple as that.
@RossReviewsau3 жыл бұрын
Can agree with that these where much more affordable eh.. tho I gotta admit I love dodge at the moment 😅
@pub60233 жыл бұрын
@@RossReviewsau 100% love the dodge!, I just purchased my 2010 SRT8 2 weeks ago simply because I can’t afford to do it any other way! Having said that, there’s nothing wrong with living large via depreciation! Cheers 🍻

Reliability must be a massive concern in any Chrysler. NSW Highway Patrol have got some currently.
@RossReviewsau4 жыл бұрын
yes im not a fan of chrysler growing up in canada lol but i will say the Hemi is pretty sweet n i wouldn't be too worried about the engine.. but other stuff🤷♂️ not sure.. yes i did see NSW got a couple of the 6.4 ones eh

Says: "Chrysler is not really known for great long term reliability" ...yet here it is impressing 14 years later! Also, I have a friend with a 14 year old BMW 5 series that he's thrown more money at than the entire cost of my 300C just to keep it on the road. I'd say Chrysler did a pretty decent job.
@RossReviewsau4 жыл бұрын
the point is "in general" they are not known for long term reliability. this cars engine is great n seems to have held up.. but in general i wouldnt put much faith in chrysler
@michaelcoles67933 жыл бұрын
@@RossReviewsau "in general" I wouldn't put much faith in Mercedes Benz, BMW, GM, Ford or most other manufactures. I've owned 2 Chrysler 300C's (both 2006) and both of them have been more reliable, and less costly to maintain than my GMC Yukon Denali XL, GMC Acadia, Ford Super Duty, my friends BMW 5, my friends Mercedes E class. In fact, even the 2020 E class has been given 2 stars for "poor predicted reliability". I will agree that there was a day and age when I wouldn't touch Chrysler with 10 foot pole...but those days ended with the launch of the 300. (I'm not blind to the fact that many Chryslers have had their issues more recently, such as the 200, but I wouldn't say their any worse than any other brand.)
