I just got mine yesterday. Can’t wait to play with it.

I was pleasantly surprised when I got mine!

A classic Scannerdanner diagnosis, thanks for the walk along. I find that inductive tools vary so much with position of the sensor, it is harder to compare waveforms from one coil to another. The 'good old days' of a single coil weren't so great, but those solitary king coils were a lot more robust compared to coils that live closer to the source of heat. Presumably this coil was internally shorted, allowing one of the pair to continue working normally.
@advancedleveldiagnostics Жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching! I would agree with your assessment about it being internally shorted.

Oh sure show me another tool I could use. I would have found it by shorting out plug wires at the coil. I could see this working on coils that are difficult to access. Good job.

It also works great on injectors. They made one just for injectors but this tool can work on most systems that have current running through it. For a quick look

I tried and I couldn't get a signal 🤔 I will try again...

Also you will have to put the probe to the side of the coil to get a better reading. Some coils are very insulated and you don't get solid readings.
@advancedleveldiagnostics Жыл бұрын
@@djmobileautoservices It's funny because it worked great on Toyota and Honda coils which I cant get a reading with my Pico COP paddle so I'm not sure what there doing diffrent, But it is impressive!

Were you looking at the counters on global mode 6, or a Chrysler menu? Either way, wonder if the flywheel has to be learned after code clearing.
@advancedleveldiagnostics6 ай бұрын
I honestly don't remember which one I was looking at. But that is definitely a possible reason why.
@rodvan-zeller63606 ай бұрын
@@advancedleveldiagnostics Thank you for the reply. I like looking at mode 6 before any code clearing if possible, for documentation purposes. Also, have you used the VVT pid on mode 6 for diagnostic purposes? Just curious.
@advancedleveldiagnostics6 ай бұрын
@@rodvan-zeller6360 unfortunately I'm very weak on mode6, I pretty much only use it for misfires on older Ford's. I really need a good class on mode6.
@rodvan-zeller63606 ай бұрын
@@advancedleveldiagnostics Thank you for the reply. You are not weak on mode 6, you are stronger than most because you know what you don't know. I like using mode 6 for several reasons, one of them is record the numbers before and after repair when the monitor runs, for documentation of repair proof. Most of my past employers had a mission to prove me wrong on a daily basis due to their ego issues, so I learned to back myself up with every tool available. You are very good at what you do, I enjoy all your videos.

I used to get them on amazon but got really expensive amzn.to/3VIAil3 It's the OTC 3633 I cut off the clip and put by own Banana jack connector. I'm sure if you google the part number you'll find it cheaper.
