@AbsoluteAutobahn, thank you very much for this video. I will never have a chance to drive the Autobahn. I have a 2005 plain vanilla, baseline version with non-turbo 2.4L engine. I just keep up with the maintenance schedule. I have 194000 miles on the odometer. I have my 2nd new timing belt and waterpump in it. Due again for another timing belt and water pump in about 6000 miles. I find it very practical for the cargo capacity.

I took my 2007 2.4L Cabriolet 4 speed auto 143bhp on the motorway just east of Holland in North Germany which runs North - South on a top speed run in 2009. Thrashed the arse off it, 180kph (112mph) and when I got home, the head gasket had blown! Covered under warranty thank goodness.

I really like that calm intro music. And also like how you filmed, with all the noises around. In many other acceleration channel videos there is some sort of problem with the recorded noises, i.e. they don't sound that natural. You do well.

It seems slow revving for a 2.0 l. 16V, may be a part of those 141 cv has disappeared...🤣🤣. I like this car, is original and different to all the other cars of its time. Good video, interesting and enjoyable!!!

My knowledge of this engine is not very high but from my experience the engine felt very weak and didn't always deliver full power. After driving it at high RPM for a few minutes though, it felt like the power came back a little. I still wouldn't buy it as the wind noise at high speed is terrible and even if you put the seat all the way down, you still feel like a truck driver.

@@AbsolutAutobahn the Cx of this car must be horrible....more than 0,4 for sure.....

@@AbsolutAutobahn That's a good observation, and the effect is due to the programming which tries to optimize efficiency if driven moderately. Drive it hard and it will perk up, but not too many people want to do that. I used to have an NA PT modified to 200hp, and a Chrysler engineer met with me and flashed the PCM so it worked better with my mods, and it also seem to reduce the trend to favor economy.

The Pt Cruiser is too heavy for a 2.0 engine. Has bad aerodynamics, but is a nice car. I wonder if it had the pentastar engine 3.6 V6 😱. I have a Pt Cruiser 2.4L here in Brazil.
