I have a 2001 Chrysler Sebring convertible and it runs great just after a while u have it started will smoke l a little bit like clear smoke almost if that makes since and then u smell like antifreeze and stuff and then the temp gauge won’t move it stays the same like at below mid level 🤷🏾♂️idk what issue could be

GoBears 21, I've changed about four of those, and even got one from the dealer but they always separate and leak profusely, to the point you can no longer hold coolant. one time the top half of the housing completely popped off. Anybody have any ideas why this keeps happening?

I have 2015 Chrysler 200C 3.6L V6. I been smelling coolant many times especially in traffic, temp gauge fluctuates between 212-237 degrees. Its been to the dealer 3 times for this. They replaced radiator, thermostats and its housing, upper and lower hoses. And they run a pressure test and everything paased. I still smell especially when I open here up.

The coolant is overflowing and leaving the primary tank empty and what coolant do I refill, this is a brown collar, I tried to Google the type of coolant I different types in my garage. Also the trip meter zeroed out on her while she was driving

I just did this exact thing yesterday it was about fifty minutes after ripping the hole top of the intake manifold off and putting back together but it blew out the side instead of the top screw

My coolant tower has blown in half before😂 got that replaced and now, 9 months later, coolant leaks from the top. Not out of the bleeder tho. I’m not sure what I should do

Aven Louis do your best here ~ older aged overflow tank should be flushed and cleaned out ~ especially if oxidized etc ~ good luck here !

I wished you were here to help me with mine. I have a 2003 just like the one you’re showing their. The radiator and the thermostat are fairly new, there is a leak somewhere when the engine gets hot it seems to all come out of the overflow tank onto the ground. What’s funny is it takes quite a a while for the temperature gage inside the car to start registering. You can run it for 20 minutes and it still showing that it’s cold then it will suddenly get hot. I’m wondering do you think it could be the head gasket or maybe the water pump? Someone looked at it and said it look like the water pump is leaking but we don’t know for sure. This car is worth about $1000 and it would cost about $1000 to fix that sell, LOL any quick fix advice?

Desert Car Care I got the same problem as shane. There are tiny drops from the coolant I believe. And the coolant’s antifreeze/ water just goes somewhere. Coolant’s lost and I don’t know where to find it. I would love to bring my car to your shop, but I’m from Los Angeles... what do you think is the best thing to do?

My 2006 2.7 Chrysler Sebring Died On Me, Attempted To Start It Back Up It Sputtered Didn't Start. Then It Started Got Me A Quater Mile Then Died And Completely Spilled Fluid All over The Road. What Would This Be? It Lost All Power.. I'd Crank It, It'd Sputter But Like I Said It Was Completely Dead... Fluids All Over The Road. No Signs Of Over Heating Nor Any Smoke

i found out that you have to unscrew the manifold off. It has 7 screwes on the top. once you do, you lift it about an inch and you can reach the final bolt for the water outlet.

@@whathappenswhen4767 I have a 2002 Chrysler sebring 4 door sedan. and I took out all the screws in the upper manifold but still couldn't move it at all. now it is the erg bar that stuck in the manifold and I guess that just won't come out at all either. this car is driving me to drink!!!:)

on the right side of the manifold there is like a small square black "cap". you have to take that one off in order to reach the last screw for the manifold.

@@whathappenswhen4767 I did that already and the manifold still would not come up. there is a cooper bar in the manifold that won't come out. again my car is a 2002 Chrysler sebring 4 door sedan 2.7 liter 24 valve. and I can't find a vid on youtube that show's how to get that cooper bar out. because when every thing is un-screwed and I try to lift. the cooper bar wont allow it to move.(and I did un-screw the screws on the bar but it would not budge.

mine leaks from the bottom. the oil pan is wet with coolant but I cannot see where its leaking from the top.

Martial 3231 ..pressure wash clean & isolate. Use a pressure tester to help source the leak.

hi thanks. I pulled the overflow tube off the resevoir and pushed the air hose up to the hole. I can hear something but cannot see it. Sound seems to be coming from the top in from the plastic tree but I see nothing wet in that area. Seems to be coolant down the side of the motor inside the serpentine belt against the block. You don't think it could be a gasket in the motor could it?

So apparently it's the same problem as we had before. In 2014 and 211,000klms, we had to replace the water pump at a cost of 1,380.00. Today we're looking at replacing that water pump AGAIN at just 245,000klms. So the last waterpump only made it 34,000k? and the cost est is $1,200.00! After putting a new plastic tree on top, and replacing the thermostat housing, they pressure tested and coolant still leaking, coming from the coolant overflow trough. They told me it leaks from there to tell you that the water pump is about to fail. This is suposedly a failsafe, because otherwise, coolant would get into the oil and the car would seize.

Martial 3231 ..wow. You'd think more mileage out of that pump. Definitely a challenge there. Before you drop large coin ~again.. 1) Make absolute certain the cylinder head has not sustained damage from heat. A Cyl Block Test to ensure you don't replace water pump ~~to thereafter hear news about more $$$$. 2) MOPAR Chrysler parts if you can. We have experienced warranty work with failures otherwise. 3) READ warranty. Not always, but most reputable garages are starting to go 3yr/36k Parts & Labor Warranty . Wish you well here!
