Only the Dodge Durango had a recall issued. The recall repair was this exact procedure with a $17 relay kit. Chrysler loves $1100 for a new assembly with a high failure rate. I’m glad to see someone else doing a repair instead of tossing a crap unit for over a grand that will fail again.

@DependableAutoTruck Thank you for I used those also they close to my relay kit just they come with a fuse they even use the same connectors I use. I’m thinking of going to soldering connectors for future jobs just to see how much I like over these. Although these have never failed me

You seemed to immediately have a solution for the broken relay in the TIPM. Is this a common problem? Did you come up with this affordable solution, or is it a common enough problem that it's covered by a service bulletin? Great job! By the way, who makes your wire cutter/crimper. It looks solid.

@TStheDeplorable hey thanks for watching! yes this is a common issue with Chrysler and fords. the dealer had a bulletin originally for it not sure if they still do. they used to be the only one who sold this relay kit just because it came with directions and attached fuse. but it was expensive. so just a nice weather tight relay does the same job for less. the crimpers are from snap-on

My 2015 Town and Country just started doing the "click, click, start". My exhausted internet search has found that this is a know problem from Jeep, Dodge, & Chrysler since 2007. I know you did it the proper way, but what do you think about the temporary TIPM Bypass Cables that are $10 on amazon? Or the more "permanent" TIPM Plug-In circuit board sold by Vertical Visions?

the vertical vision ones are nice not the amazon one. as a diy you can use them i wouldn't say its an issue with the circuit board. they way they have it designed it good. I dont because im a company and it needs to be corrected as close to factory as i can

@jordysandino6577 Thanks for subscribing and watching!!!! I get my shrink tube wherever I can. But mostly Amazon there a few companies on there that have quality stuff. But it has to have the glue inside and the same with the connectors.

@smartkideric Thanks for watching! so the crimpers are from snap on but i think icon or someone else makes a pair very similar. I use Alldata pro for my vehicle info along with identifix. If you are just a diy they used to have an Alldata diy version for just your specific vehicle. other wise they are a bit over 200 a month. the scanner i have 2 one is a snap-on triton D10. The autel is a autel maxisys ultra. it has a 4 channel lab scope, multimeter, wave form generator, and programs modules.

@@charlesmecum5009 there is always a charge for diagnostics. My area the going rate for a shop is about 110-140. I run a rate of $105.

@ I’ve learned over the years which was very hard to do. That I’d tell them my diagnosis fee of they don’t want to pay it then I don’t do it. I want customers who want to take care of the vehicle who understand it is an investment for them to get to work and back and they want to take care of it properly. I get a lot of calls about hey how much to do this I have the parts. Sometimes I do it sometimes I don’t.
