Some people mistakenly refer to the head voice as falsetto because that's what they were taught to call it. There is an obvious difference in sound between pure head voice and falsetto ("false voice"). Falsetto occurs when only the edges of the vocal folds vibrate as opposed to the whole length of the vocal folds vibrating. Regardless, Evg. Rucker has a beautiful voice and is singing to the glory of God!

Whether you choose to call it mixed voice or not, I just want you to know it is not simply a strong/masked false/head voice which people also refer to as "mixed voice".

I am surprised that people havent heard such sopranos and will argue that Chrystal is not singing in chest natural voice. Get it straight now, this is her real voice not falsetto or head voice. Let a super soprano get her dues.

Crystal has had a few strokes and i dont believe her voice is as strong that it USED To be ... this is her natural voice is the soprano register but the damage has caused her to have to use it differently and she's not as STRONG up there as she once was but this her natural voice ... THere are MANY sopranos whose speakin voice is not as high or heavy as their singing voice!

Boo, you compared her singing voice to her speaking voice, INSTEAD of listening to her singing voice. Comparison does not give correct results. A gray T-shirt looks white when compared to black coal. Her lower register is much edgier that her upper register: that's the case with people who have light voices. In fact, when she gets super crunk, she starts speaking or yelling in the high heavens.
