Thats the key right there....BE THE FRIEND YOU ARE LOOKING FOR! I guarantee you it will come back to you!

Great topic. I grew up in the Caribbean left almost 40 years but still maintain my friends there. They come here sometimes and I'll go down sometimes. Eat some good food and hang out. We're friends for life. My daughter calls all of them auntie and they all love each other.

This has been a long season of no real friends. At this age not sure where to start. I have those who call on me to unload their issues but they never ask how I am doing very one sided. And I am stressed over never having someone in my corner

This is Right On Time for Me!....Reassessing my Lifelong and New Friendships...Finding that I'm too "hard" on myself and on them...Too many HIGH EXPECTATIONS!....GOD is teaching me to relax in the Blessing already laid before me.....Thans for sharing this confirmation!❤

Confirmation! This video is right on time!!! I have one friend, but recently, I’ve been feeling God is calling me to cultivate additional friendships to build my own personal support system. Friends I can love, support, and encourage, and from whom I can receive the same 🥰

Hey Chrystal! Great topic that I can really relate to. I am so thankful to God for teaching me how to be a good-godly friend. I do believe you have to BE a good friend before you start attracting good friends. Two are better than one and there is nothing more rewarding than to have friend girls that you can just BE yourself. I have life long friends, seasonal friends, co-workers that are friends, and church family that are friends. One thing I asked God is to show me over and over again how to be a good listener and an encourager. The center of all of my friendships is prayer. Who does not need to be lifted up for prayer! The past three months I have tried something new. When I plan to be off, I dedicate at least two days to meet a friend for lunch to catch up. The best girl friends are my walking/workout buddies....talk about therapeutic!! So thank you Christal for reminding us that Friends are essential and important.

Hi Chrystal I don’t have any close friends, work acquaintance, “ my fault” I am now learning the importance of friendship. I am very alone and have no one to call when having a hard time. I have to take your advice and be vulnerable, people hurt 😢. Praying that God will help me . Thank you for sharing this information. ❤

It's okay Lorna! Now is the perfect time for you to start with intentionality. I'm sorry you feel alone but the good news is that you have the power to change that!

This was so good for me to hear. I am in my sixties and am the only daughter in my family. I have always missed having a sister and have always coveted a close girl friendship. Sadly, I can't say I have ever had one. I hear you saying that I should not expect to find it in one person, and that I should not give up. You say it is worth the heartbreak I have and may experience. After several disappointing attempts in the past years after my retirement, I had given up, resigned to be content in my relationship with God in Christ. I believe God has spoken to me through you. I will try again, but with more than one person. Thank you! Thank God.

Making friends has always been hard for me. I am very shy and stay to myself tell I get know people. I am the friend that you can call on when you need help. But I feel things are very one sided here lately. I need more friends that are going to support me.

Thank you for this message. I wish I had this advice years ago. Always hearing some people talk about having a best friend gives an illusion that one person can be everything to you which I’ve now come to learn that in fact is not the case.

I ovelook friends because they don't act in my perferred love languages or are not looking to attatch themselves to people or I can't find things in common right away and If I do like their personality or skills, I then shy away because i think it will take a lot more time and effort than we both might like and don't want to play the scheduling & communication games and spend the energy for fear of we might bother eachother. The type of friend I am is very loving, gentle, considerate, committed, I love helping, acts of service, quality time, and touch, but also love being a free spirit, but also crave routines with close friends sometimes. I've only found one good close friend that I would consider keeping as a lifelong friend. But when it comes to other types of friends that are not so close, I'm not sure how to maintain the communication level and interest level, or even establish it at beginning without wanting to attach myself to them, wanting to incorporate myself into their lives, or want them to incorporate me into theirs, without feeling bad if I thought we were close, but they didn't invite.

I'm an introvert so I have 1 lifelong friend from lat 90s. I was rejected the first 28 years of my life. Been working on my issues. I'm the type of friend who used to always be there to the detriment of myself. That has changed. I realize I can't do life alone anymore. I'm starting with coaches with paper behind their name so if trust is broken I won't be broken further than I am no offense to anyone. I am waiting on GOD for all of it. Starting with this, long distance. Have two lined up for local. I know I'm different and can be a lot at times. I'm Clark Kent but really Superman. Lol

Great advice/ perspective. Im the filler friend. The one sought out as needed. My close circle, call you just because and lets go hang out, talk about everything and nothing friends have passed and filling those spots at my age has been fruitless. So I kinda just flow. I miss having close friends.

Sounds like you might need to tell some of those friends that you need them. Maybe they don't know? They think enough of you to ask you so maybe they need to know what you need?

I still have never had a friend/bff, Ive had ppl that I’ll talk to from time to time, but not someone I can call friend. Now that I’m close to 40, I’ve somewhat given up on friendship. Nonetheless, my husband is currently my only friend, but it’s a struggle because he doesn’t like Walmart or going to the movies lol
