That's the thing with Condor, while they aren't dirt cheap, they aren't military quality, but looks like you and I have found that their quality is good enough for what we're gonna use it for, and no we aren't going to war. However, I use mine for hiking, hunting, and off trail exploring and it's great for that, I have some Condor products that I have had for a number of years and they still are just fine. Yes, you can spend more money, and unless you have a lot of money, it's gonna take a while to get your rig together. Oh, one more thing, "H" Suspenders, harnesses are always so much more comfortable than the "X" style. There is no comparison, so I completely agree with you on that one.
@psalmreader9095 жыл бұрын
Ken Parnell I agree, but even "military quality ” materials are almost identical, and a lot of it rips just as easy. It’s a hit nd miss , bcs majority of the materials in both are made in China or elsewhere just some assembled in U.S. or stitched..

Condor rig just arrived. Thanks so much for this recommendation! Considering getting the hydration pack too. So far and as is, this doesn't seem to be riding into my neck, but I've yet to run it with weight. If I need it, great to know that there's an easy fix.

I know this is a older video. But picked up a Condor rapid vest today at a flea market. Brand new with tags for $5.00. Didn’t like the harness as I have a battle belt with a H- harness. Found your video and just ordered the hydro harness. Thanks for the intel.

Good video , thank you. I have been kicking around getting a this rig for awhile. They make a holster for this , but I prefer my pistol to be lower. I'm thinking of running a war belt with it for my pistol , knife and a dump pouch. I have found mounting a knife on the shoulder strap uncomfortable if your humping a ruck. But you get style points lol. The H harness is the way to go , way more comfortable than an x style. I like the hydration pack set up with this rig. Of course this just my 2 cents , but thank you for helping me make up my mind

I stand 5' 4" tall and have a 28" waist. I have everything as snugged up as possible on this rig and it still hangs down to my belt line. It also is very loos around the waist for me. I have an athletic build and find it difficult to find tactical vest's chest rigs, and plate carriers that will go down to my dimensions. I used to have a 44" chest with that 28" waist which really made it tough to get clothes that fit right. Since I took up cycling I'm not as top heavy as I used to be, but still can't find these types of rigs that fit me properly. Given these are made in China, you'd think they'd cater to more diminutive sizes, as well as the big guys they already cater to. Understanding that not everyone is as short or as lean as I am I really would like to see Condor come out with at least a couple of size range options for their wearable gear. I'd really be a happy customer if they did. I find the quality to be good for the price, but size options my one complaint.

Cool review. I run AK, hate 5.56 and heard this rig will run AKM fine. A couple of questions : Will 6 more AK 30s fit in the area behind the central mags when you open the tabs? When you stretched it open, there seemed plenty of room for 6 AK 30s. Also, can you run 2 AK 30s on the side openings? If a paistol will fit and the side pockets seem to swallow AR 30s, I'm guessing 2 AK 30s per side will fit. Am I correct with these? I think you can get this rig for 36 now IIRC. See if what I ask will work and let me know if you get the chance, thank you ;)

@Cthulhu So did you ever find answers for all these questions you were asking, in short is this rig good to go for an operator ? I appreciate your time spent in responding, thanks 🤠

I haven't used it in a carbine class but I've used it at the range a good bit. I'm sure it would breakdown a lot soon than most but it is a lot cheaper and if it's all you can afford I think it's not a bad option.

Thank you Brother for the review! I too am a big guy and I was searching high and low for someone out there who reviewed a chest rig for my size. What I also gained from your review was the knowledge to the H-Harness Hydration Rig for this particular chest rig you have. Q: Is the hydration rig from Condor?
@AKMTACTICAL9 жыл бұрын
Thanks so much for the kind words. Yes it's called the hydro harness and it's made by condor. Here's a link for it. www.amazon.com/Condor-Tactical-Hydro-Harness-Coyote/dp/B00BUS12OE

+AKMTACTICAL that's what I'm thinking size wise. I love SOE gear, just not sure if I wanna drop the money on a piece like that (as I doubt I would get much use out of it). More or less to stage some mags Etc in my car or to throw on when I go to a buddies farm for shooting.
@AKMTACTICAL8 жыл бұрын

The part of the Lifestyle you have not adopted is the most important part. It's the physical part of it, it's that 50lb ruck, its the forced Marches, it's getting in the water, it's 500m Fins to your ruck. That's the Lifestyle, can't have one without the other. Well I guess you can but then it's just Hollywood and not where the rubber meets the road.
@AKMTACTICAL8 жыл бұрын
+Jim Skurka your right, can't argue with that. It's the part of this lifestyle I struggle with the most, just taking it 1 day at a time and shooting for the best. Thanks for watching and commenting.

The last time I went to the range with Michael he was down 7lbs in a week. When I was working twelve hour shifts with the guy in the hospital he was taking in 2L of water a day. I'm a big guy and I drink nothing but water. Some people have just always been big. Michael ain't ever been little. When's the last time you tried to live off of 1200 calories a day? What's your thyroid panel look like? Are you insulin resistant? The dude spends time at the gym every week. Get the fuck outta here with that ruck shit. Exercise is exercise homie. Michael is a nice guy, and for the most part so am I. But what we share on this channel is simply a part of our lives. And if I was in a gun fight I'd take Michael all day everyday.
@jamesknowles928 жыл бұрын
its not really an expensive lifestyle. an expensive gun is what $1500, or if youre nuts like 5-6 grand. I know several guys who have dropped 3 times that in car parts.
@AKMTACTICAL8 жыл бұрын
+James Knowles there's no doubt about that, but if you shoot a lot it can get pretty expensive plus of you start taking training classes your looking at 1200 bucks a class at least. It's definitely not the cheapest lifestyle but not the most expensive either. Thanks for watching and commenting

Dude, you are so out of shape; you couldn't run with a rig on for more than a block - if that far. That gear will not do you any good, if your own body betrays you. Get into fighting shape!
@AKMTACTICAL9 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the not so kind comments. It's funny to me how someone is so quick to throw the first stone when you don't even post any video or pic of yourself So for all I know you aren't in FIGHTING shape either. The difference between you and I is I don't care what shape your in and I'm not 1 to judge someone that I don't even know. Since you felt the need to not care about someone's feeling i'll inform you that I am on a diet and in the gym working out now because I do need to get in shape. Thanks for your comment, please consider subscribing to the channel so you can see my progress, since you are so concerned with bashing my weight or don't, doesn't matter to me. 1 lesson I can give you, learn to be a little kinder to people, it goes a long way in life.
