L A She was at first. But as the seasons went on, she became increasing hypocritical and irritating. She had the same problem as Dan: judging the NJBC and co. while scheming and behaving just as badly as them. They wanted to have their cake and eat it too; be included with the in crowd but still be morally superior. All the GG characters were annoying at the times, but the “outsiders” stood out for this reason imo

Well Blair went after Nate as a reaction to her not getting into Yale. She wanted the security of that relationship back when she was emotionally flailing. I think she still loved Chuck, obviously, but her feelings were sidelined because she couldn’t depend on him. She had been with Nate for years, and thought she could rebuild that bond, but quickly realizes they’ve outgrown each other. Whereas, Vanessa was giving Nate grief for connecting with his family. To her benefit, they were super controlling, but she was angry that he wouldn’t go backpacking with her or whatever. She was still hoping the relationship could be salvaged.
