I love this song, never in a million years did I think I would buy an electric guitar, let alone learn to play this song. Thanks so much for sharing. I have not even got my guitar yet....lol it's a coming on the 8th Jan 2020. I have been checking out various videos and your videos are the first I came across and liked and subscribed. Trying to understand the fretboard and the note etc was really doing my head in and after 5days of watching various people trying to teach the guitar I must say I think I am finally getting the hang of the whole concept, well not the whole concept....you have sharps flat and the various lingo that is associated with rock, blues etc was hard at first and I had to google some of the terminology. Some people on here are better teachers than others, you are one of the better ones and you have a great personality. I am looking forward to learning more, a lot more. These lessons are gold for those of us who can't really afford lesson. So thank you from the bottom of my heart for your time, and for sharing. :)

You da man Marty - love your videos. I know I can always rely on you for really accurate how to play lessons. So much content on KZbin (despite peoples best intentions) is wrong or not quite right so having someone like your self who knows their stuff sharing their knowledge and wisdom with us is really cool. Thank you.

The first day i decided to learn how to play guitar you’re the one i watched first. Today its been 4 years and i still watch you. The only difference is that today i haven’t finish the video yet and i can already play the song instead of having to watch your videos a couple of times. Your videos are amazing, so are your vibe and your teaching skills. Thank you so much!

I have to say that your teaching and playing skills have got me playing again after a very long break. I'm talking about a 20-year break! I am self-taught and have been playing 6 or so years before the break...I just wasn't learning and was caught in a rut. With all the guitar content on the internet, it's hard to find someone that you can relate to and who teaches in a way that I can understand. Thanks for putting this out there to learn! I'm jamming again!

I got my first guitar in 2015 after watching the scene in back to the future, little did I know being 9, that it would be nearly impossible, I got lessons in about 2017 and learned the first maybe 7 notes and gave up. I have lessons in 2018 but slowly lost interest in guitar and didn't play for all of 2019. the quarantine period had me doing nothing so I picked up the guitar learning full songs not just the first bits, as my hands were bigger, I thought I would have a go at trying this again and now a month after that, I can play it. interesting how I came full circle not to overuse this saying but you really can do anything you put your mind to

I've discovered while playing this that while you're doing the Bb chord palm muting thing....if you do a "Hendrix style" chord where the thumb is on the low E instead of doing a normal barre with your index finger, your fingers are in position a little bit easier for that next lick.

Where did I type anything that wasn't in English? I don't know if he created the technique (probably not) but Jimi Hendrix played E-shaped barre chords by putting his thumb on the low E, making the E shape with his middle, ring, and pinky fingers (like normal) on the 5th, 4th, and 3rd strings, and then putting his index finger on the 2nd and 1st strings. As opposed to playing a traditional barre chord. People refer to this as a "Hendrix chord". If you can't picture what I'm referring to, watch a video of him playing something like "All Along the Watchtower". The intro is played with barre chords and he almost always played them this way. "Like A Rolling Stone" has alot of them as well. Also, I'm not referring to the E7(#9) that he popularized in "Purple Haze", which is also called a "Hendrix chord".
