Chuck Berry plays Sweet Little Sixteen and Johnny B. Goode. Sweet Little Sixteen was originally released in 1958 on the album: One Dozen Berry's. From the record, Chuck Berry Is On Top, the song Johnny be good was also released in 1958. David Brown, the bass guitarist for the Carlos Santana Band is also featured in this video.
The Rock n'Roll legend makes at special guest appearance at San Francisco based television station 1971. In the audience that evening were three musicians: David Brown (Bassist for Carlos Santana), Don Wehr from Don Wehr's Music City and Camille Decaur. They were asked to come down from the audience to backup Chuck in a moments notice.....

Back in 1971 Berry was still doing his brilliant songs something like they were recorded and then just a few years later he'd do them as a waltz or he'd get his family on stage to do them or whatever.

When Berry toured, he used local musicians. They'd have a run through and then they played the gig. At the end of the set, Berry was always paid in CASH.

They never did a run through, chuck never used to tell them what key they were in either, he would turn up in his cadillac, get his money, go on stage and play not a second over the agreed time, finish, put his guitar away and drive off. No run through.

Chuck Berry was a great rocker 'n' roller but when he arrived (1955) to the rock scene Bill Haley recorded rock 'n' roll since 1951 and Elvis Presley since 1954...
