Go to give it to VLAD, his business model is pretty effective. You notice how Chuck D's profanity is censored? It's because he recognizes the importance of Chuck D's message and its potential for its longevity and potential long term advertisement revenue. And how some videos which are geared towards maintaining a targeted demographic are left uncensored. This is one of the best interviews he has done. I applaud you for allowing Chuck to talk uninterrupted. It's lengthy but informative. Youngsters who are gunning to be the new VLAD :) lol, this is how to do an effective interview. I enjoyed it and I am not a huge Hip Hop fan.

Oddly, I don’t believe Chuck D actually recognizes just how significant he is. Now, it could just be him being humble, but I also don’t believe he sees just how impactful “Fight the Power” is...it’s gigantic! He tends to downplay it and give credit to Spike Lee and the Shockley’s, but it’s him...HE made that song what it was. “Fight the Power” is eternal.

I was skeptical about this interview before I watched it, and Chuck provided some interesting insights and perspective on his involvement in hip-hop culture over last the 35 years. However, this final part was garbage because Chuck provided flawed logic for his wasteful support of Bernie Sanders, explained an asinine model for transitional leadership, and admitted that he recorded an album that supports the irrational and undemocratic notion of telling a POTUS to resign from the Oval Office. Yes, I admire and appreciate Chuck D., but he, like other African Americans in the entertainment industry, chose to be a political operative propagandist through a major political party in this country (Dems) for the last 20 years. However, Bernie Sanders and 44 have demonstrated horrible leadership records and disgusting public pronouncements for protecting and advancing African American males, and Chuck D. did not offer any apologies or corrective actions to African American males for his respective involvement. Personal Note: In 1990, I was blessed to see and hear Public Enemy on their "Fear of a Black Planet Tour" in Cincinnati, Ohio. Heavy D. was the opening act, and this show was after the tragic death of his background dancer Trouble T Roy. The show was superb, and I remember thinking that Heavy, Flav, Chuck, and Terminator had incredible stage presence. Prior to that hip-hop concert experience in Cincinnati, I had marveled at how Michael Jackson and his brothers filled the stage during their "Destiny Tour" in Mobile, Alabama in 1979. Also, I had firsthand concert knowledge about most of the top-selling R&B and Soul musical performers and groups of the '80s, including Rick James, Luther Vandross, Frankie Beverly and Maze, Teddy Pendergrass, Stephanie Mills, Lakeside, Shalamar, The Whispers, Dynasty, WAR, Slave, Cameo, Roger Troutman, Zapp, Ray Parker, Jr., the Bar-Kays.
