Yea because if other shows start calling players idiots and dummies y’all would click off. Barkley can say that because he’s a hall of famer. These other people can’t say that even if they wanted to. These shows are about entertainment and getting clicks, not perfect analysis.

@michaelbarnes2126 the Lakers front office is always messed up. Ham also had players that he could have played and didn't or a player start doing well he pulled them. He allowed teams to go on runs and didn't try to slow down the momentum with a time-out or anything. He could have done better. Some of the players could have played better, and the front office needs to change. He has to take some blame. Rob needs to take some blame also.

I've been saying this for a while now... coaches today are considered more "colleagues" than "managers/bosses" by their players(particularly these "superstar" players). We've even heard this said by players like kyrie and evidenced by players subbing themselves in and out of games when they want/feel like it(lebron).Or colluding with ownership/front office to determine the direction of the team...how can any legitimate coach take full blame when the league has created this type of environment where players have so much power and so many liberties...
@latarribell4152
@latarribell4152 4 ай бұрын
Didn’t Magic and Jordan get their first coaches fired(Magic got his coach fired after winning a chip)? This isn’t a new phenomenon, it’s revisionist history.
@tspen4128
@tspen4128 4 ай бұрын
@@latarribell4152 you're right, both those players had power and influence (to some degree). That's not what I'm arguing... It's well documented that Jordan had issues with jerry Krause cause Jerry wasn't going to bend to every whim and demand Jordan had(again proving my point of how different things are now)...Magic and the Westhead situation is similar but different in many ways.A bunch of players had issues with the coach and his system, jerry buss understood this and decided to go with pat. My point though is that players today enjoy much more of a say on where they can go & how these deals are formulated - due in part to better union representation and increased stake in the overall league's direction. This is heavily skewed towards the superstars...we've heard many "low-end"/"journeymen" players speak on this very topic...Players have always been primadonna, particularly the good ones. This is not new. What's new is how the league and teams in general are reacting to these primadonna tendencies. How they enable and cowtail, so as not upset to order of things. Today we have a players like James harden and Ben Simmons that can hold teams hostage and somehow still manage to find roster spots on different teams with highly inflated salaries...it's a different time

You're right, Charles! Coaches don't shoot the ball or play defense!

It's 50:50, coach is responsible for making game plans and adjustments, and players are the ones who need to execute those plans. Goes both ways.

You think Leflop allows himself to be coach. If he doesn't have respect for the coach the rest of the players won't. Which makes it hard for the coach of the others. While the stars show up and play whenever they want to
