None of the arguments really hold water. On one hand, the argument is that she was a college player with a lack of Team USA experience since she was in the NCAA tournament. Exhibits A-C: Parker, Tarausi, and Stewart. The other argument is her production as a WNBA player. OK, fine, but her stats (what Smith and Sharpe are referring to) were better than other players at her position at the time. If you want to keep her off of Team USA because they don't like her, or you want to play favorites with other veterans, just say it, we can handle it. But the other arguments are just insulting..

Stephen and Shannon speaking Truth! Sadly, women can be so petty. Caitlin has proven herself under less-than-ideal circumstances at times during her rookie season. I’ve been saying this ever since the Caitlin hate began. In Europe you have dozens of countries with even more women’s basketball teams. You don’t think they’d be willing to pay whatever it takes to: 1) Have a bonafide U.S. Collegiate & WNBA SUPERSTAR female basketball player, 2) A humble white Christian player (just saying how they’re thinking), 3) A family woman who actually wants to get married and have kids, 4) An woman who’s an awesome example in every way to THEIR young girls, 5) She’ll get more money, less hate, and have a longer playing career (cause Europeans don’t tolerate cheap shots, and pettiness), and 6) To top it off, Caitlin will be MOTIVATING hundreds of European young girls and their budding basketball programs. How much do you think they’d be willing to pay for her services, her influence, her talent, and for her setting an example to Europe’s youth? It’s a no-brainer, especially when you consider she can come to the U.S. in the offseason.

Caitlin Clark is carrying the weight of the world on her shoulders. She just took a team that was in the WNBA cellar into the postseason as a 22 year old rookie on the heels of taking the Iowa Lady Hawkeyes to back to back national championships and being snubbed from the Olympic roster and a gold medal despite being a top 5 player in the world... as a rookie. She can only do so much. At some point, she needs her teammates to move around and set screens. How can you expect her to do anything with multiple defenders draped all over her. Her teammates need to come prepared in Game 2 or else the Sun are going to win the series.
