My brother and I are also fairly skinny. Like even if it makes me disgruntled I can at least get why they ditched the animatronics. I loved the animatronics. It was literally the best part, besides the mascot chuck e suit coming out to dance with the kids to give out free tokens, and ofc the games. As an 06 kid, it feels like a part of my childhood died when they announced the removal, I remember going, I think, at least once or twice after the removal, it felt extremely different. They didn't have any walk around chuck e which I came to expect from them, because even though the design changed, they still had him come out. Now I don't think they do that anymore. (correct me if I'm incorrect, though.) It felt dead, it felt more like a cici's or Peter piper's pizza than a chuck e cheese, even the prizes felt like them, I remember the prizes used to be actually pretty okay, now they suck, even Mt parents admitted that most children's arcades prizes suck now. I mean main event and David busters small prizes are okay, don't get me wrong but I remember frequently going to both David and busters and chuck e cheese as a kid when we had the money, and the small prizes used to be actually decent, now you have really look for what you want. We always went there for each others birthdays or to celebrate any big occasion. Wanted to chime in on the abrupt closing part of this all because its a little too close to home for me. In college I worked at a go kart place and we literally closed overnight. A similar scenario of none of the employees having any idea, not even our managers. I worked the last day there having no idea it was our last day. The regional manager came in the next day and told our manager we were closed, and they IMMEDIATELY brought crews in to rip the place apart. Which absolutely means they knew in advance we were closing and didn't even have the decency to tell any of us. I sadly think corporations do this far more often than we realize to poor minimum wage workers. What sucked the most is there was also a similar non-refundable thing for any gift cards or races people had bought at our location (the holidays had literally just happened so we sold a ton of gift cards). The closest location to ours was over 3 hours away in another state!!

I’ve only been to the magical rat place 3 times, and I got food poisoning from it 3 times. Good memories, I’ll miss it.

I love how they accidentally used the stephanie's name title for the second lady, so then the following dude got the second lady's name title of elizabeth

That's funny, I live in a pretty small town in Texas and about the only thing that ever pops up is also somehow Mexican food restaurants, car washes, gas stations, and donut shops.

In this modern day America there really isn't that many places where a kid can just be a kid anymore. Toys R Us, Chuckie cheese, what's next.

Hi Scott, I am also a junior in high school whose first job is at Chuck E. Cheese (I actually started there a few weeks ago!) Just know that when one Stephanie closes, another one opens

Somehow my local chuck e is still open for business. I’ve literally never seen more than 2 cars outside of it since 2011 lol

I paused the video towards the end to yell at my kids to "open the door please." Unpause to hear "another door opens" and my wife laughed harder than she has in a while. Thanks for that c:

Working at chuck e cheese showed me.That corporate has basically given up on the family friendly atmosphere and cheap chuck e cheese was a day of the two years I work there. They raise prices A lot in just little increment. Then, since most of the staff are high schoolers, they don't really care about the job so the Management gives up extremely quickly with Trying to get them to do the job.

I went to the Fargo location twice and that got me really into Chuck E. Cheese as a kid. Any time my family was driving into Fargo and I saw the big "Chuck E. Cheese this way" billboard I got excited. RIP Fargo location.

I honestly thought the Chuck E Cheese in Fargo closed years ago. Last time I went there was over 10 years ago and it was virtually empty then.

When I was growing up, my family and I would go to a Friendly’s (idk if they’re regional, but it’s basically a diner chain that‘s known for its ice cream) in the next town over. My brother is on the spectrum and ate very few foods, but he always loved the food he ate there. We were regulars to the point where as soon as we walked in, a waitress pointed at my brother and recited his incredibly specific fribble (milkshake) order before going into the kitchen to put in the order. They also knew that I had trouble ordering due to social anxiety, and would noticeably shift to a more gently voice when asking me what I wanted to eat. When I was in high school it just suddenly shut down, the sign was gone and everything. I knew some people working there and heard that they found out only a few days prior (it might have even been the day before it happened, but I’m not sure). 6 years later, the building is still empty, except for the lost memories of ice cream and mozzarella sticks :(

Scott actually seems like he’s holding back tears in the intro but he still has to make the video professional.

Chuck-E always creeped me out as a kid, especially with the anamotronics. But as someone else stated, there really does need to be more places for kids that dont threaten their parents with bankruptcy.
