I, as someone who has never even been to a skiing place in my whole life, am personally offended by this whole "you never had to worry about what was behind you before this" mentality. It makes absolutely no sense -- haven't there for sure been a ton of incidents where some skiing madman comes flying down behind some nice, calm, rational ski person and slams into them? Like how is that exclusive to snowboarders? Am I missing something or is this just gaslighting at its finest? Something to ponder.

Genuinely curious but what about the fact they had eaten a ton of food before filming the eat off? So they were full and just trying to not spoil it. Apparently the eating contest was a surprise too and so they had no idea.

one time when i was a kid i went snowboarding for the first time with my dad. on the lift there was only 1 time my board hit someone elses board/skis, it was some teenager (def smoked smth his voice was deep asf) and he was like “DUDE” and sighed hard. felt bad, but it was the only time and we had used the lift dozens of times, we also both got hurt and went to the doctor at the end but it was fine.

Preventing employees from accepting things customers extend by their own will is always so stupid. I have never refused a "tip" because humans like to be appreciated and if a customer thinks I deserve some bonus money for being a good worker I will accept that gracious gesture. There are inappropriate ways of tipping or focusing on employees but an old lady sneaking me a 20 for loading her car is merely seeing value in my efforts and I feel good about thet.

The most odd thing to me about having a child (I'm 25 and my daughter is 2) is that they start off as goo, and I grew the goo into a floppy critter, and now the floppy critter talks and walks and I'm scared lmao Honestly though, it's the best thing I've ever done. She was unplanned and I'm single and just powering through but she makes all the bullshit worth it. It's so hard to explain. I'm always scared but also not scared at all anymore.
