It does kinda rob him...sara losses her memories but the thing is after opening up to him and finally allowing herself to trust him she id able to find herself in the story she asks him right away to kiss him because she wants to be that woman again to feel that love to be loved again. .their love for each other was pure so that kiss was definitely instrumental even if it didn't restore all the memories she would have enough sense of knowing and having that feeling that chuck is the one who will always be there for her and make her feel better.....because sarah is just how she was back then she was unsure of her feelings didn't have memories was angry mourning a part of herself which she made and above all she wasnt very open about her feelings with chuck back in s1/s2 and use to deny her feelings just how she was trying to do after she leaned she was played by quinn and robbed of her memories but after listening everything from chuck and their story which she was avoiding she felt connected to it as those emotions felt familiar to her ... that was the place where they first bonded to each othet and 5 years later it was the same place again after she bonded with chuck again....she always felt in love with a normal guy..a fact she always dreamt if but thought wasnt possible because of the job she had

@@pthespidey5057 Yeah, I hated the ending, but I definitely can see Sarah trusting Chuck after they kissed, regaining her memory and feelings for him back. Sarah told Chuck things only he knew so I like to think that Chuck did tons of little things like taking Sarah to see her mom, etc. Just wish we saw like, 6 months later or a scene in the near future where everyone got back together for a holiday like Christmas. Seeing Chuck and Sarah pregnant or something. Everyone together and laughing would have been a great ending. Just like a 10 minute scene to give us the closure we all wanted. Still my favorite show to date.

In the ending of this episode we see our first real glimpses of Chuck taking control of his life. The first is the Tron reveal and it's clear that Chuck has given up on the US government having any interest in helping him with his situation. We see him confirm this later on in the season when he acts on Jill's advice to "betray" the government in order to rescue his father (a point of no return). So while this is the first on screen moment we see of him taking the initiative its clear this change has been building for a while already. Secondary, the real change that happens in this episode is that while Chuck wants to believe what he has with Sara is real, he can't any longer. Could Cole and Sara have a real relationship? Yes. Does Morgan and Ana have a real relationship? While they have no understanding of appropriate PDA Morgan has something real meanwhile Chuck is the fool in denial. What Chuck needs to do is realize that hoping for things to change between him and Sara is unhealthy and no way to live a life. What he needs is a person who can love him back openly with no strings attached. And at this point in his journey his fake relationship with Sara is a detriment to that need, not the solution.

Both points are great, but i especially love your second point!! A bit more subtle but even more powerful imo. Shows he has the respect to not lie to himself, not lull himself into believing this fake relationship is anything other than that. Even though it will be so much harder for him to draw a line in the sand than to let the lie continue, he realizes he must. Shows his strength of character and perseverance, how he will make the hard choices now for the life he truly wants for himself in the future. Powerful stuff!

@@yeskiiiThis is him acknowledging that it’s real, though. He knows that the current status quo prevents things from being more than what they are. “The girl that I love” he mentions is her. In an earlier season 2 episode, he makes a speech at the end to push her away to protect her because her feelings put them both in danger. In this one, he’s telling her that he’s going to find an out. He’s going to make it happen(the end of the speech). But until then, he can’t make things harder(the beginning).

lol when they zoom to sarah is says no olivies and extra pickles but also shows that he heard her say lisa :). Also c'mon son! If you don't think she gets her memories back eventually whether it be slowly, or after the kiss you are crazy. Even if she doesn't get her memories back, they are clearly back on the right track. Chuck in the matter of two episodes made her go from not wanting to hear their story to wanting to hear it and asking him to freaking kiss her. Why? Because she wants her old life and memories back. My theory? Chuck and Ellie build a new intersect that is made special just for Sarah. Reason why this works? Ellie knows all about the brain and how it functions, and also knows everything there is to know about the intersect. Chuck is amazing with computers. So yes the intersect may of robbed him, but only for a short period of time.

And I'd even go as far as saying that from the scene of Chuck trying to get Sarah to remember at the "dream house" until the end was done very well.

How's this scene: 7 years later, Chuck is walking cautiously in the living room. Something seems not right. He looks intuitively around when all of a sudden.........a child jumps out and yells, " Got you!." She runs away as chuck chases after her laughing. Sarah appears and cuts the girl off, lifts her up, and kisses her. Chuck comes up close and hugs them both and kisses Sara and.......their daughter!!!! Wouldn't that be a great opening to chuck the movie. Chuck vs the intersect 5.0! The child becomes the intersect mistakenly when the government knows the capabilities of the Bartowski's brain capabilities of accepting the intersect and tries to send it to chuck and Sara for its capabilities. It goes to the child instead when she plays on Chuck and Sara's computer.......What do you think!!!!!!

The poster scene was kind of amazing I would have loved for the season to go on with Chuck trying to run away from everything for a while I love how, towards the end of the season, Chuck kind of begins to lose his trust in his handlers I find it a pity, though, that this particular plotpoint with Chuck keeping tally of his own situation never really seems to go anywhere Methinks it could have made for a couple of great episodes

Know ur comment is a bit old but definitely agreed with what you said. Would appreciate to have few episodes of chuck turning his back against the always plotting CIA. Man beckman asked casey to kill him earlier on that season and i would have liked if eventually he managed to find that out like by the end of the season and betray the feds rather than having Sarah doing it. It is a bit of a shame that somebody (sarah in that case) had to tell him that state interest will always prevail against his life. That's part of the reason why that episode is sooo good because it appears as if Chuck finally opened his eyes for a while.

The show lost some steam in season 4 but had enough going for it to continue, but season 5 wasn't up to the mark. The Charah & character development scenes were good (esp. Chuck & Sarah) but the overarching plot wasn't. Individual elements like Sarah v/s the Baby were really good though.

The TRON scene with him hiding his effort to "put it all together" on the back of the poster is dumb. Several episodes before this, when Chuck had Jill in his room, he said his room was under surveillance by multiple cameras and showed her one he knew of. Writing on the back of the TRON poster as it lay on the middle of his bed would not have kept it secret from Casey. Also, no way he heard Sarah whisper that her middle name was "Lisa",

For me the intersect should have been desultory long ago and we know that her and Chuck stay as husband and wife and she does get her memories back the extended scene that on blu ray shows this also you know for fact that when she kiss him she remember alot more .Plus you also know that Chuck will build another intersect along with his mother help and his sister and get Sarah back to the way she was before that train scene ..I mean you could tell after Chuck told them there story the Sarah Walker was gone for good and Chuck wife Sarah B was back just by looking into her face and eyes you could see all that clear as day .I mean she knew the beach was important and so on so yes in the end Sarah does get her memories back after the kiss .Should this have ever happen in the first place HELL NO .i NOT WATCH SEASON 5 AT ALL ONLY SEEN Clips on youtube but I did see the extended ending and it does show Sarah getting her memories back .
