Your kitchen is so cute and I love watching you cook. I am now 76 and its really hard for me to cook these days especially from sitting in a power chair but I have to because I am unable to walk anymore. So I cook casseroles and soups so I have lots of left overs. I am keeping this soup in mind for the future. Keep up the great cooking!!!!!! hugs

I loved your comment about adding veggies that needed to be used soon. The folks that lived on the plains and had to grow all their own veggies figured that out years ago. They had no choice. It's not like they could run to a supermarket. Soups and stews were a mainstay.

My father & his siblings were raised on a farm during the depression thru WWII. They grew potatoes & the neighbors grew onions. They shared veggies so they could make something better, potato & onion soup.

I buy tomato paste and divide it up into 1 tablespoon dollops and drop them onto waxed paper and place them in the freezer until frozen solid, then drop them in a zip freezer bag and keep them on the freezer door. Next time I need tomato paste for a recipe, I pull a few dollops out of the bag and toss them into the pot. The only thing going into the trash is the empty can.

That's a very good idea. I find it very odd that when Amy scraped something off a tablespoon she leaves it hanging on her fingers for a very long period of time instead of wiping it on paper towel. Very very odd

I love soups Amy and all yours look so delicious I mean delicious and you can freeze the half of tomato paste in a tight zip lock baggie mark the date in it though, I do that all the time with diced tomatoes and spaghetti sauces. It will keep for months.
@cynthiabarela6233
@cynthiabarela6233 Жыл бұрын
Agreed....But she scrapes some off the tablespoon to get the last of the tomato paste in the pot and leaves the remnants of the tomato paste on her finger for a few minutes. It's as if she likes the feeling.... For goodness sakes wipe it off with a paper towel

It’s so chaotic and unorganized and stressful to watch you cook. I wonder if you planned it out before, had all your vegetables chopped you wouldn’t burn things. Also, the cross contamination is so unsettling. I’d never 👎 eat anything you prepared.
