What an honor it was working with you Chuck and the rest of the Bus Team who you know I love dearly. Glad I could add a little accidental bit of Bois d'arc to the bus. Apparently I am a medium because in addition to this when my mother found out her older brother passed away I inadvertently put one of his records on the record player, one of the first he ever bought in the 70's, and one of his favorite songs WHILE my mom was on the phone learning the sad news. ANYWAYS go team yellow!!! We earned it.

So sorry to hear about Bodark. I lost both my dogs of 12 years, 1 of them 3 years ago, 2nd one almost 2 years ago. Think of them daily and I've never replaced them because they can't be replaced. Everyone tells me I need to get another dog. NOOO, I'm not going through that pain again. Love Love my dogs.

Pffft, no fair, a bus is such an ideal platform 😆😆 We need gutted, bus vs bus vs bus edition! All jokes aside, wonderful work! Bathroom is standout for sure, that curved upper kitchen cabinet is great, and the electric display (albeit it painfully slow lol) is such a bow on the whole thing. No wonder you guys won though, such an all-star team!

2:37 I like the sight opening for the freshwater tank... I'd wager to say a simple LED Puck Light (or similar) on the top back edge of the tank, shining down... would be a perfect addition. If it's attached to the tank, the water level would be quite viewable day or night and have very minimal energy draw.

Completely agree. It’s easy enough to install blinds or curtains to give yourself a bit of privacy when needed but it’s so nice to have that open feeling instead of a submarine feeling

How funny to come across this video! My husband and I just started watching Gutted earlier today. While he was pulling up the first episode on KZbin, I was watching one of your videos on building walls into a skoolie. One of several videos on your building tutorials I watched today and one of many period. We are on a skoolie benge and hope to find one to start working on soon. Ironically I told him a few days ago that I wanted a Bois d'Arc vanity in the build. The trees are prominent here and I follow a guy with Bois d'Arc Kingdom on Facebook since seeing his work in person at a local art show. Having recently lost my dog, I know the heartache and my heart goes out to you for having gone through it yourself. Love your work and your videos. Hope to apply it all soon.

I finally watched the whole season just last night as a matter of fact because I wasn't able to find it until you mentioned Blankspace on your last video. You guys killed it. Glad you did this tour because the show didn't even come close to displaying the details all the features of the bus. So now I wonder what they do with this bus? I sure hope it's going to a great home to someone who'll appreciate it. All it needs now is outside paint. I had watched Bart's behind the scenes long ago.

You fit so much into that build! I am a remodeler who travels to renovate rental houses and for now I Spartan camp in my bus. One day I'll tell clients they have to wait and work on my own project 😂 I build custom showers for clients all the time but have always worried about the road vibration causing problems. Do you just install it with flex mortar?

Fun fact not all Bus A/C Systems were installed by the factory. (in this case they were as FT buys factory direct) most schools order A/C and the dealership installs it because they can charge what the factory charges for the option but then install with their own people for half the cost making a profit for the dealer.

Nice job. The shower is righteous. The custom cabinetry is very nice, esp. the curved cabinet, the drawer with the sliding section, & the desk top. It's a shame you didn't have a bit more time. Taking out the windows in the bathroom (that's what it is 🙂) & adding a privacy patrician of some sorts would be amazing. But yes...time restraints...😕 As an artist - if I was having a bus built for me (which w/b f'n cool).....there'd have to be a lot more supplies storage...LOL...

@kenkmaell1290 Just a little FYI tip. In case you didn't know, there is a way to edit your post w/o having to make another comment. After you post, on the TOP right edge there are three little dots. Click on that and a menu will pop up on the bottom left side with options, one of which is edit, and another is delete. Select which one you want to do. If you choose edit, it will bring your post back as if you haven't posted yet. Scroll to where you messed up and voila la fix it and repost. You can edit as many times as you need to get it perfect. We’d love to have a “Short Bus” with a raised roof and fully self contained. We live in a very mountainous area of north central Washington state and would love to take it to our favorite marina or campground on Anderson Island in Puget Sound. And when my in-laws come over from Montana would have a great place to stay while they’re staying here . They use to stay in our attached apartment, but my dad lives there now because his health is failing.

Got to be honest not a fan of the toilet being that close to the kitchen sink without a wall in between them. But I love the style and color of the bathroom tiles and how it slopes down into a shower.

Completely agree but there are limitations to a 5 day build tho and a partition wall could easily be added after the show. I think it was more important to the team to spend the additional time on nicer items like the curved upper cabinet and the style of desk they installed. It’s those features that really make a big impact more so than a divider wall that can easily be added after the fact, but that’s just my opinion on the whole thing.
