so this means the day Jesus rested in the grave between his death and resurrection, between Good Friday and Easter Sunday....was the Sabbath.

He was buried on Friday (before sundown which began the Sabbath) and was resurrected on the first day of the week; which is not the Jewish Sabbath, but became the Christian observance of "Sabbath". Jesus effectively in his death, burial and resurrection, connected the people of the old covenant with those of the new (the Jew and the Gentile). As the pastor said, Jesus did not indicate that our salvation was in Jewish Sabbath-keeping. As a Jew, and the Messiah, he kept the Sabbath, but believers are under a new covenant.

@@YT4Me57 passover has two shabats . If Jesus remained three days and three nights in the tomb, it would have been the first shabbat of passover that year when the sacrificial lambs were crucified. Not a Friday. Friday evening to Saturday evening is shabbat, but please note there are other shabats as well on His feasts

Saturday is the sabbath not Sunday

Depends. Christians began celebrating on the Sunday since it is the traditional understood day that CHrist rose from the tomb.

Sunday is not the Sabbath

It is for Christians. Stop cherry picking. The Bible also says people with tattoos should be put to death. So there's that.

No, Chuck. The title card goes at the beginning, not the middle! Silly...

God's Word is eternal and He doesn't change. Jesus kept the shabbat of the seventh day and if we know His Word is true, than why would anyone want to call God a liar?
