Thank you so much for this episode. I learned a lot about amp construction and really developed deep admiration for Mark and his great work. I have a Sugarland combo on the way and am really thankful for all the wonderful choices that we as musicians and hobbyists.

The new Bartel amps are aspirational. I’d feel privileged to own one. Going to start saving now! Mark is a legend!

Watching this while admiring my Tone King Comet 20. When I had issues with it Mark was gracious to help. Great guy, and not a half bad guitarist either!

Hey Paul! It’s Joe your loyal customer lol. Yeah Bartel has incredibly good customer service, when I randomly found Bartel on your website, like you, I was struck by the look, so I looked more into them and heard some videos and was BLOWN away. Mark was incredible when I called him on the phone and spoke with him about his different Amps he offers. Paul is a great salesman with incredible knowledge and so is all of the staff at Chuck Levin’s.

You just simply can’t find a better guy than Mark. I want to be him when I grow up! I have thought about getting a Bartel Roseland a bunch over the last few years, but I still have a one-off Majesty that he made me, that I just love to death. Mark is a treasure for guitarists everywhere, and yet amazingly humble.

Another thing - I understand that Mark is super hyped about Bartel Amps (with good reason), and Tone King is in the rearview mirror, being under new ownership and all. I get it. However, Tone King is still a present reality for those of us who have been fortunate to lay our hands on one, and still play them every day (and can't afford a Bartel for now). I was really disappointed that he only spoke about the Continental and the Imperial Mk. I. I would have loved for him to speak a bit on some of his classic designs - the Galaxy, Metropolitan, Sky King, Comet, Meteor, Royalist, Falcon/Grande, and others - so that those of us who own them - especially the Bartel-era ones - could have a bit more context about the history of our amps and where they stood in his design process and timeline. Despite the mind-boggling designs of his new brain-children, his older designs are still tremendously capable and desirable pieces of gear, and those of us who admire the man and his work still want to know more about them.

Thanks for your comment and for taking the time to watch the show. We had a very short amount of time (we still went over), and LOTS of things we wanted to discuss. Perhaps a part 2 might need to be in order for 2021...

He is a nice guy and certainly a genius in amp building - but he's also terrible as fuck in marketing. Instead of shutting up for once and let others talk and ask questions - you know, HAVE A CONVERSATION - instead he gives an endless prepared nerd speech. Thankfully later in the video the others chime in.
