Hey Chuck! Im so jealous! Words can't express how much I would love to be there with you guys . Thats the type of trip I like. Not a race just go along at your own pace and enjoy the views. Nature has so much to share. Those rings around the sun, old farmers i was around as a kid said that was a sign of precipitation, rain or snow. You'll see rings around the moon as well which means the same. A storm a brewing. Lol.

Thank you Chuck and God Bless,Carlos

What a great video to watch with a morning cuppa tea! I absolutely love the vastness and beautiful scenery of Labrador, the solitude and peacefulness of being able to jump on a "ski doo" or quad in your backyard and just go must be so satisfying. Definition of an explorer, like yourself... To always wonder what's over the next ridge. I find ice fishing to be my most favorite activity during the winter and I found that part of the video even relaxing without a catch. Looking forward to the next virtual adventure with you, thanks for taking us along.

I always remove my windshield when exploring the woods . And when setting out the salt stones for the moose . We do that as part of animal management in our area . All hunting teams are doing that on their areas . I hope you get some more nice weekends before its to wet and soft to drive . Have a great sunday and week after . /Thomas, Sweden

Chuck another great video, I have the same sled as you got 900 Ace with the 24 inch track, they are a beast in the snow. I noticed a few alter scratches on your sled (we call them newfoundland pin stripes ) I purchased a product called G3 or as some people refer to it as a new bike in a can. I wiped down my sled with a damp cloth and then when it dried I sprayed G3 on all the plastic parts and the sled is show room condition, beautiful product. Thanks for providing me with the amazon link for the bungie straps, I received them already , too late to use them on my sled so I put them in my SxS i'm sure they will come in handy. Have a great one, looking forward to your next video.

That was some wild climbing, I remember going along with some buddies into a trout lake in the mountains and rolling over my sled was a big concern for me and them At that time I was not able to wear a Prothetic leg so standing on hill side of running boards was quite difficult, and I probably only weighed 115 lbs.but as usual my buddies would walk beside me a short distance at a time and get me there safe and sound. Yup, NO Trout, but a adventure I never forget. Thanks for sharing these awesome adventures.
@ChuckPorterEverythingOutdoors9 ай бұрын
We were a little rushed to get my machine ripped back over on its level and back on track, but I should have filmed my friend who literally stood on my ski (upper side of mtn face) as I got it faced by up the hill. Would have shown a great technique for anyone in the same situation Tks bud for the reflection on your part

Others have mentioned that and I’m just wondering how it would affect steering….especially after a long day…would it tire the arms more…that kinda thing
@kentuuri82729 ай бұрын
@ChuckPorterEverythingOutdoors I have done it on my work machine and not noticed any difference. Where you need to be aware is backing up down ramps etc.. it may catch. Only use a bolt long enough to touch the ice.
@kentuuri82729 ай бұрын
Another thing because it's a bolt you can put it on at beginning of trip where you think you need it then take it off when done.

Chuck my expedition came with the track predrilled for automotive studs which I find great for lubrication for the slides, I used #17 studs.
@ChuckPorterEverythingOutdoors9 ай бұрын
Ok so it increases the amount of snow going inside the track somehow? (Even though the studs are outside)
@Steve.Mech19 ай бұрын
Yes thats correct the studs also tear up the hard snow which i find do the same as scratchers , I had mine done at tire shop for 100 dollars.@@ChuckPorterEverythingOutdoors

Re ice scratchers Some people have been successful by installing one carbide track stud right in the rear of each ski… This gives enough snow to lubricate the sliders.
@ChuckPorterEverythingOutdoors9 ай бұрын
Yes!!! I’ve heard that. Just wondering how it would influence steering, especially on a long trip….make your arms tired, etc….
