A Season 2 and following seasons is a smart move for the franchise: - it's a tv show, meaning it doesn't cost as much as the movies do for the camera equipment or how much the actors are paid, so for the same budget as Cult for example, the stuff like the Chucky doll or the kills and special effects will look way better - there's a lot more story considering a season is over 8 hours, and not just 1h40m like the movies - the reception is higher than other installments, and many people like the episodic format - a great set of characters was introduced that it'd be cool to see more of

@@ch2010ize Actually this tv show has a bigger budget then the last 2 movies, they just opted to use animatronics instead of cgi which is why it can look wonky sometimes bc the budget isnt as big as the first few movies. I still think it looks good for what they are given.

What triggers Chucky to take over again? For Nica to revert to normal we've seen Chucky has to splattered in blood. Nica has to be punched or whacked for Chucky to take over shown in episode 5. Nica was hit with the skillet last episode but woke up crying as Nica. Unless here Chucky has gotten better at controlling Nica or is putting all his effort into controlling her. Can here Chucky saying the same thing to Nica as a dienbodied voice the same thing he said in CP 2. Why fight it Nica , were gonna be very close. In fact were gonna be fu!king inseparable.

This is just my opinion, but I think that if Chucky‘s soul was completely intact when he possessed Nica, then he would have full control over her and she wouldn’t be able to regain control over her body, at least not unless Chucky wanted her to.

Dude, Chucky has has had possession of Nica ever since Tiffany hit her over the head with a skillet. He was obviously faking to get Devon to untie him. You could even hear the difference in Nica’s actual voice, and Chucky pretending to be Nica.

What I’m trying to say is, if Chucky‘s soul was completely intact when he possessed Nica, then I imagine it would be much more difficult, if not almost impossible, for her to fight with him over control over her body, and there wouldn’t be constant switching back-and-forth between her and Chucky.

@croma 136 Nope. When nica got hit in the head episode 5 with the frying pan, that’s when Chucky gained control. It’s pretty obvious since any time one of them gets hit, they transition. Chucky was probably faking being Nica, so Tiffany wasn’t suspicious. Then Tiffany leaves her there. Devon finds nica, but at the time Chucky is possessing her. It’s pretty obvious.

@croma 136 Also, you can tell by the difference in the voices. Fiona is an amazing actor, and you can tell it’s Chucky acting as nica. You can hear the difference in the voice and mannerisms. It’s not that hard

There’s one thing about the series that’s not adding up. Chucky transferred his soul into that Tommy good guy doll and is up to no good in the next episode. Tommy was given to Lexy’s sister so why hasn’t the little girl said anything about her doll being missing? Also is Nica one of the two kids from Seed of Chucky? If so, are we gonna see the kid that’s a boy?
