I have a funny true life jacket story. So this was probably in the 70's and a guy (who is the dad of our neighbor who is now in his 50's) was going down interstate 5 and saw a life jacket on the side of the freeway on the bridge, and he was a tight ass, so if he saw something that he could get for free, he would take it. So he came back the next day with his kid and he had rigged up a big metal rod with a hook on it and while he was drivin by his kid Leaned out the window with the hook and grabbed it. To this day it has never been used and is still hanging in his shop😂

Great video man! I love that you're towing the boat with a car. I have a Honda Fit hatchback that I installed a tow hitch on and use it to pull a 4'x8' utility trailer to haul lumber, mulch, and other things. I get a kick out of the comments I get from people seeing me towing with the little car. It pulls like a champ though, just have to keep the load within reason.

Yeah, I am always towing with my car. I have a car trailer, truck bed trailer, and the boat that I pull all the time. This will work until I get a truck, van, or SUV some day. I have to reasonable with my loads too. I had a Honda Civic 2005, but they didn't make a hitch for it. However, I could fit 18 8 foot 2X4's in the trunk when I laid the seats down... I loved that.

Good luck on catching some fish!😊😊 they should be some good red bellys and bluegill bedding amongst others like bass, but I love fishing the reds there is some beast in the St. marys. Always caught a bunch a little north of emaus church.

@@chud327 I'm a truck driver i find all kinds of stuff Tow chain an Straps. tires small medium large tools lots of tools best one I found Was a 4' torque wrenches for torqing down lug nuts on semi trucks Deer season I find gun cases on the road unfortunately they have all been empty some day i will find one with a gun in it. They fly out of the back of pick up trucks. But i keep looking

If you did build another boat what would be the price, you wouldn't have to deliver I can come to you to pick it up? Also I live in Memphis, but i also go to grand rapids Michigan a couple times a year if your closer to their. I'm seriously interested in buying one it looks so awesome, and I would love to help build it as well!

@@almirria6753 reset your router which is your wifi it changes your ip all you have to do is turn it off and back on if that doesn't work leave it off for a day then turn it back on that should change it.

Hi. I have already build mine in Fiji. I just need a motor which is really expensive here. Just advise which size motor will be best to use it. Will 10hp work. My pontoon is made with 8 barrels

I had a 9.9 on my 12X6 and it did about 6 mph, I also had a 25 horse that did 6 mph. The 25 needed a longer shaft. If you don't want to go too fast, maybe you can build a homemade boat motor about of a lawn mower engine. I am currently building my third one, the video should be out soon. How did you get a sticker and reg for the wooden pontoon boats?

Here in Florida, I just went to the DMV and said homemade boat. I had to fill out some paperwork and they did every thing else. It took about 30 minutes, and cost $32.25. If it were 16 feet of longer, I would have had to have it inspected. I don't know about you area, hopefully just as easy. Thanks for watching.

How much does it weigh?? Is it easy to load/unload?

I don't know what it weighs, but I would guess 500 pounds give or take... It you back it in far enough it just floats right off of the trailer. Loading is just as easy. I hope this helps and thanks for watching.

Went to DMV and said homemade boat. They walked me through the process. 2 forms, 30 minutes and $32... Super easy here in Florida. If less than 26 feet, no inspection either. I hope to build #3 real soon and thanks for watching!!
