Severe dedication to the task, amazing result! For a while I thought it was supposed to fly and I'm looking at the hefty metal and tiny motors thinking this guy knows something I don't. All became clear in time, though the subtitles were wrong in that this design of rotor creates no turning moment on the hull, a small but important point. Well done Do Doan, much respect.

No , this was no waste . You got to see some EXCELLENT technique and you got a look inside some of the best conceptual Hero-Modeling by an amateur , _anywhere_ . While _clearly_ NOT his intent , this kind of model making has a DIRECT function in Hero-Modeling , which is HUGE in movie making . Yes LOTS is done with CGI , but the Hero Model is used where details are needed and true form-fit-&-function to match story-boarding are needed . @@chuckintexas you don't get to decide what someone else considers a waste of time. It made it sound like some dude made a real homemade helicopter. Not a model. For a time I didn't know if this was meant to fly or not. But the underpowered motors for the blades made me see it is a prop and not a drone or RC helicopter. But I do have a suggestion for fun. Take a long bamboo pole, like 50 or 60 feet long, a very strong one and mount it on a post so that it makes a large swing arm of 40 to 45 feet, attach the light end to the helicopter and on the fat end put a few hundred pounds of weights so that the counter balance almost lifts the helicopter off the ground. Then replace the 200 watt little drill motors with some RC model motors of 1500 watts each or maybe 2250 watts to make 3 horsepower each, that's 3 times 4, so it would top out at 12 horse power and that would be enough to lift the helicopter off the ground with a light weight passenger, like a ten year old boy. It would be tethered to the long arm of the bamboo so it could not go beyond the reach of the turn of the bamboo on it's pivot post. Add or subtract weights on the other end to add lift to the helicopter for a heavier pilot and let them fly it around in circles, touching obstacles and landing on small structures and having some control of a kind of water missile that can be launched at a target or perhaps paint ball guns for attacking other targets. Have either battery power or a long extension chord coiled up inside the metal post to feed power to the motors. If you can't find or afford an RC motor from Hobbyking.com then you could use vacuum cleaner motors from shop vacuums as they are quite powerful . This could be a money making ride once you learn how to make it safe for kids.

I built a RC Hellicopter once years ago. I hooked a high output battery pack up to it. The battery pack quadrupled the hellicopters power to it's rotor blades and stabilizer fan motors. I engaged the hellicopter & it took off & just kept riding and flying out of range. It was climbing on into the sky as it flew out of sight. I could hear it whining as it took off until it disappeared. It had an auto rotate drop. I never found it. It's still hovering somewhere over Cleveland ST. Heh Heh Heh 😁😁😁🇺🇲🙏 DDH.

Awesome engineering work. Helicopters have a higher crash rate as compared to planes for several reasons, such as: Helicopters fly at lower altitudes and speeds than planes, which exposes them to more hazards and obstacles, such as power lines, buildings, trees, and birds.
