In other versions of the game the text is really different. Example. In my version of the game Charlie, after being rescued from the Venomoth Phosbat (spelling?), says to Brittany "Brittany the only face I thought of while in there was yo--" before being cut off by Alph. In this version he says "I only thought of one face while I was in there... my own". ...yeah...big character difference.

Fun fact! You actually never need to use one bomb rock on that wall. If you just throw 10 winged pikmin on to the pear and allow them to carry the pear as close out of the wall as possible, the pear appears outside the wall the next day!

The WiiU would have been more successful if Nintendo had sprung for better hardware. Don't get me wrong, I love the gamepad, and it's great, but the processor is awful for this generation, and the GPU could be better. Better hardware means more developers make or port games for it, more games means more incentive to buy one.

But let me ask you this. What's the point of buying a Nintendo console if it just has the same games as every other system? People buy nintendo consoles because they want to play nintendo games.

The point is a bigger library. The more options for games a platform has, the more appealing it is to the consumer. Of course a nintendo fan is going to buy a WiiU to play nintendo games, but what about people that aren't? with a more narrow library the opportunity cost of playing those nintendo games becomes MUCH higher. In other words, the potential buyer is going to ask: "Is having the ability to play these nintendo games really worth needing to buy another console if I want to play anything other than these nintendo games?", to which only a nintendo fan is going to say "Yes".

Incase you never found out what killed those two pikmin, I think Alph pushed them off after he got left behind with the lilly pads. When the camera switches to Charlie in the new zone, you can see Alph pushing those two pikmin. At about 8:10

Who would think that's too many winged pikmin? Using the charge command with the wii controls can *completely* bypass basically 90% of the puzzles in the game with Winged Pikmin, they're so good

Fun facts about Winged Pikmin: 1. Snitchbugs are no longer a problem. Just throw them at the space underneath and they'll grab it and bring it down. Throw others on it to finish it off. I've had to use that strategy in a treasure challenge where there are four of them flying around and you only get yellows and winged (purples are kinda pointless for the task, but they're there as well). 2. If you want to flower them, you have to literally throw them at the nectar or they just fly over it. I'd prefer to get an entire army of them out and then use a nectar. In fact, at times, I bring out entire armies of one type and use a spray so that, when I get to the final area, I usually have well over 20 flowers of each type and can get through quicker (not to mention avoiding the pursuing creep there by using fast flying Pikmin to help out there).

I have the European version of this game and I'm surprised at how much dialogue is different between versions. In the European version, there's a running gag of Charlie saying something about Brittany (e.g. "The only face I was thinking of was yours, Brittany") but being interrupted by Alph. Another example is the 'mysterious man' that contacts you at the Twilight River (as seen in this video) has different dialogue.
