The Hole of Heroes should have been the last dungeon of the game. "Hole of Heroes" sounds much more like the name of the final dungeon than "Dream Den" does. Its name is clearly saying that if you beat the dungeon, you're a hero, implying (or would be if it really was the last dungeon of the game) that you've saved the day and beaten the game.

I actually got pretty scared when I saw the one-legged bird boss for the first time. It just looked so weird to me and I was creeped out by it and couldn't continue playing at first.

I have a funny story about level 2, once when I was younger (like I think 8 so pretty young) I hardly knew how to play this game and I cam in with two yellow pikmin. As two anode beetles were making the electric current, An antenna bug ( I don't remember what it's called I think antenna beetle basically the thing with the over-riding whistle) got all my pikmin and walked straight into the electric current, killing all 98 pikmin except for the two yellows'. Looking back on it; it was pretty funny

That "spider crap" looks a lot like mycelium, which comes from fungus. I believe mycelia are where mushrooms grow from, and look exactly like they do in Pikmin 2.
