I have fond memories of Focus Punch in Pokemon. I taught it to my Ludicolo, along with Double Team and Belly Drum, gave it Brightpowder and maxed out it's speed. Here's how battles would work: Ludicolo used Double Team! Opposing Pokemon's move missed! Ludicolo used Belly Drum! Ludicolo cut its HP and maxed its attack! Opposing Pokemon's move missed! Ludicolo used Focus Punch! Ludicolo is tightening its focus! The opposing Pokemons' move missed! Ludicolo used Focus Punch! The opposing Pokemon was completely obliterated!

Wow, that is a really dickish strategy, but could also backfire horribly if your luck turns south. Breloom can pull off Focus Punch in a similar way with slightly less risk but without Belly Drum. First, it uses Spore to put a foe to sleep. Then while the foe sleeps, it sets up a Substitute and can start spamming Focus Punch. If a Substitute takes the attack, Focus Punch will still go off because the user wasn't actually attacked.

I always used Mt. Battle too. Mt Battle is great because if you get far enough, you have Pokemon of every level available to fight, so if you're purifying Shadow Pokemon from much earlier in the game you have a safe place to battle and level them up or whatever. And there's lots of cool stuff to get with Pokecoupons.

the other thing is mt battle levels go high enough that it can be a great grind point easpecially since all 3 dogs are 40 so its useful to make Raikou or Suicune relevant levelwise if needed I don't run Entei ever, even in XD gale I like mt battle cause again its useful for pokespot pokemon since the rare ones I like and can get them caught up if needed and mirror b pokemon if needed as well so doesn't matter if its collesuem or XD gale the place is useful

I know this is an older comment but I also use Mt. Battle for grinding. I tend to use Raikou and or Suicune in nearly all of my runs through this game so I try to make sure I get Thunderbolt and Ice Beam respectively and I'm usually up to at least the mid-50s by the time I'm done.

Unfortunately only two Pokemon in Colosseum learn Follow Me, and one of them is the final Shadow Pokemon in the game. So if you want to pull off this strategy in-game you have to use Furret, who isn't exactly the bulkiest Pokemon out there. And you still have to watch out for moves that hit both foes. If it works out, however, you'll deliver a serious blow the foe's Pokemon.

By the time I even got to the Realgam Tower, my Espeon was level 73, the rest of my team was in the fifties, I just grounded up on Mt. Battle. It's easier that the colosseums and that's also how I open the hearts of my shadow pokemon as well.

14:40 A better tactic than fighting Lt. Surge with Diglett or Dugtrio is catching Geodude earlier on in the game. All three of them are Ground-Types rendering the Electric-Type attacks useless. However, Lt. Surge only has Electric-Type and Normal-Type attacks. Diglett and Dugtrio will take normal damage from Normal and no damage from Electric while Geodude takes half damage from Normal and no damage from Electric. Just saying.

I have never been in the mid forties at the end of a pokemon game. Not once. For the first four gyms of a regular game, I typically gain approx 10 lvls by the time I am done with the gym. For the last four, it drops to about 5 lvls or so per completed gym.(please note that these are both estimates and averages and thus aren't precise) That means that by the time I hit victory road, I am somewhere in the neighborhood of lvl 60. And I don't ever seem to spend that much time grinding. I simply fight as many trainers as I can. I hit first of the elite four in the low 60s, some times i get to 66-68 by the first elite four battle. I often end the game with some of my team around lvl 70. Bottom line: It is not possible to end a regular pokemon game with your team being only lvl 45 or so.

On my first play through of sapphire, yes the GBA version, I hit the elite four with my team at level 50 or so. The elite four weren't too bad, the major exception was drake, as I didn't have anything to really combat dragon types. It was the champion that did me in. All of his team had 5 levels on mine, and long story short, the only reason I lasted more than 12 turns was because of excessive item usage. My team was blaziken, swellow, magneton, gardevoir, absol, and gyarados (I think). As a result of that, I never hit the elite four at any level less than 57 or 58. Getting to level 46 doesn't even take that long, How many trainers did you skip?

Ok.... I haven't played the gen II games or their remakes. maybe there just aren't as many trainers in those games? I don't know. I have played sapphire, alpha sapphire, platinum, emerald and Y, and I never fail to hit level 60 or so by the time I get to the elite four. I don't even fight that many recurring battles or wild pokemon, or at least I don't remember it that way. At least alpha sapphire and Y have the Exp share going back to working for the whole party (it did this in the original gen I games and it was called the exp all).

Certain games have a specific amount of trainers. You either must space your team out like crazy or you do grind against wild encounters and rematches. HGSS' level cap is so low and if you're playing every trainer by Victory road your team should be mid 40's. DPPt, ORAS, FRLG, BW you reach around 50-55 by the Pokemon league. BW2, XY, SM you reach around 55-60. The older games have less Pokemon in their Regional Pokedex's thus leading to lack of EXP wield because you're fighting the same thing all the time. It also might be the case where you might not use all 6 Pokemon. Which changes a lot of results

Now I’m actually pointing this out, but 5 of Chugga’s Pokémon in his Colosseum Team can actually be in Scarlet and Violet, as Espeon, Quagsire, Misdreavus and Forretress are in Scarlet and Violet normally, Typhlosion has to be transferred either from Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl for the Johtonian Variant or from Legends Arceus for the Hisuian Variant. The only Pokémon that is in Chugga’s Colosseum Team that can’t be brought into Scarlet and Violet is Granbull, as the Snubbull line is currently unobtainable in Scarlet and Violet. And speaking of Scarlet and Violet, I’m actually going to transfer some Pokémon from Brilliant Diamond, Shining Pearl, Sword, Shield and Legends Arceus to Scarlet and Violet like Wyrdeer, which I think should have been in the Paldea Pokédex, as you have to use Psyshield Bash, Stantler and Wyrdeer’s signature move, 20 times to evolve Stantler into Wyrdeer, though Stantler can learn Psyshield Bash only by Egg Move in Scarlet and Violet. And yet Hisuian Qwilifsh can evolve into Overqwil because it can learn Barb Barrage, which it needs to use 20 times to evolve, as a Level Up Move. Like the Pokémon introduced in Legends Arceus should have been part of the Paldea Pokédex when the game was released.

Usually my team is around Level 50 for the final matches of the main story. I didn't know Overheat was the 2nd strongest fire move (and that Blast Burn was the strongest fire move, and that both were better than Fire Blast. My Arcanine in SoulSilver has Overheat, and I have more respect for Flannery as a trainer now. Close Combat's a good move. I used it on my Staraptor in Platinum and my Infernapes in Pearl and HeartGold. Nuzleaf can use Explosion. Interesting. For a minute, I was thinking that Feraligatr was that Shadow Croconaw from before. I didn't know Bounce existed in Gen 3. I thought it came out in Gen 4. I can see why the under 30 or bust thing was prevalent since back then KZbin videos couldn't be over 10 minutes (Explaining why Mother 3 is like 100 episodes long. If it had been done after the limit was removed in mid 2010 or later, I really think it'd be a shorter LP. On a separate note, I'm finishing that LP someday, along with TTYD and the others I haven't seen). I like seeing your serieses no matter how long they are.

You mean; Xehanort? Or Ansem-Riku?(that's what they call Xehanort, after he starts wearing the same outfit as Nascour), during the one-on-one boss fight against him; which is the most difficult boss in the entire game, besides Dragon Maleficent, but at least you have Donald and Goofy for that one. Ansem-Riku, you're on you're own, and in a small, cramped space, with a dude who can destroy you in like, 5 seconds. But the best part is when you beat Tiny Nascour, aka, "Ansem", you get the best keyblade, and you see the kid from the Sixth Sense stab himself with a key-shaped sword, and Ansem-Riku looked like a rejected Final Fantasy character.

But he's not the actual Ansem; but the game still calls him Ansem when you fight him, and was the one who wrote the Ansem Reports from the first game; but Sora and the others don't find out that Xehanort wasn't the real Ansem until like KH2. Sure; the plot can get confusing at times, but if you manage to keep up with every game, read every Ansem Report, there's still a chance you'll be confused, but the games aren't all bad just because of their confusing plots, except Chain of Memories, and like, Re:Mind. The one that had drake bell(the creep), playing Young Xehanort. So, even before turning into a creepy perv, drake bell(the dude from drake and josh, and the live action Fairly OddParents movies)was the bad guy who wanted to understand how other worlds worked. But to answer your question, yeah, he could be Ansem-Riku, or just a rejected Final Fantasy villain, or Sephiroth cosplaying as Ansem-Riku. Sorry for the long, detailed reply, but since we're talking about KH here, it pretty much has to be a long, detailed reply. But it's also one of the best game franchises I've ever played, and I'm glad Sora made it into Smash Bros, with Kazuya, Joker, Terry, Banjo-Kazooie, Sephiroth, Cloud, Sonic, Mario, Bayonetta, Solid Snake, Pac-Man; Mega Man, Pikachu, Mewtwo, and the hundreds of others.

The only variety in it are the names and the guns. There's really no challenge whatsoever in it. Graphics don't make a good game. It's hard to be entertained when you have little 10 year olds screaming for nothing. Blood, like graphics, doesn't make a game good either. And what difference does it make if there's men playing? The majority of the players are still 16 and under. What I'm trying to say is CoD is like every other "Next Gen" game. Classics like Pokemon will always be in my top list.

while tyranitar is good yes, it's typing is bad, with 6 weaknesses and 1 devestating one, water, grass, ground, steel, bug, and a massive weakness to fighting, Metagross while not as good, only has 2, fire and ground.

Chugga, you absolutely have to do Pokemon XD as a continuation of this. The story itself is a sequel and I think it would serve to make this let's play feel more complete. (plus I perso ally think the WTO

Even in colosseum I think Heracross is A better choice over Granbull, granbull's speed is just... omg he always hits last, lol. Heracross is A bit stronger, VERY good at taking out A single pokemon (Megahorn+Silverpowder+Adamant nature). He is also very tanky, which makes his abilities live most of the time. And at that point, he will 1-hit anyone it seems. And did I mention that he can learn Earthquake? Or maybe I'm biased because I used A burn orb Heracross back in the day (was pretty OP) :p.

One of my LP's was 50 parts long. That was when I only had a ten-minute time limit. Then came one that was 15, 24, or 25 parts long depending on content. And that was when my time limit was extended to two hours. Then I became a KZbin partner and another one happened, this time in 11 parts. My channel has full details.

Gen 5 moves weren't even programmed into Gen 3. The only you could do that is if you could find the RAM addresses in a Gen 5 game and patch them to a Gen 3 game, and somehow get the patched memory values to work (fat chance on that...). In other words, you'll have to do more than just hack the game to do something like that.

well i knew there were more but they were all weaker then the final boss' so i didn't need the master ball. i actually thought about the special pokemon you get at the end of Mt. Battle, and was saving the master ball for that

The Nusleaf knowing explosion might be a reference to the anoying exploding trees from mother 3, or Earthbound 2, I don't know if they're in mother 2, or Earthbound in English, I haven't a clue if it's in Mother 1

Oh so many memories, Pokemon Coloseum is the best game ever, well only this one. For the male hero is so bloody epic and his right hand man. Man I wishthey made this for the 2d 2d adventure game also.
