A thing about the “alternating X and Y”, mashing both buttons also helps. It makes Bowser’s vacuum more powerful which is why you got more honey from those Beehoss. This also works to get more coins from Trashure enemies. Edit: About Fury status. All that’s known about it is if Bowser takes too many hits in a battle, it activates. @stug6974Күн бұрын
Yeah, it's a really awkward one. The level of precision movement they demand just isn't really suited to the actual controls of flicking a tiny stylus across a poorly responsive screen, especially since you have no way of stopping your movement so you're just violently shooting all over the place constantly. Then again, I also got extremely frustrated by that one section in the Lung Zone (or whatever it's called) where you use the stylus to direct a platform through an electric maze -- which I've never heard anyone complain about -- so maybe I am the problem after all.

3:54 when you actually know things about Mario games you realize more and more just how common it is for the Mario wiki to be wildly wrong. You have it claiming for years that pokeys in PM64 were weak to fire and explosions (they have no element they are weak too), I myself corrected the unlock criteria for one of the ttyd remake superbosses (it erroneously and inexplicably claimed you had to be in post game which is demonstrably false), and its drop rate calculations for ttyd badge drops from enemies is genuine, mass misinformation. The badge drop rates are hysterical because the source _they cite,_ when they wrote the article, literally said “these are not direct odds, these numbers are fed into an equation and I do not know how it works yet” and now the source has been updated to actually have the correct odds calculation, and yet the Mario wiki _still_ lists the original numbers as they are _before being fed into the actual equation_ as though they were direct odds, explicitly against the instructions from their own source.

Inside This Episode: We deal with more of THAT DAMN SNEEZING MINIGAME and fight a tower! This gives me the chance to talk about some more things I missed back in Dimble Wood: Rump Command and the Giant Battles! Rump Command is easily my favourite Minigame besides nearly every other Minigame. I’m a sucker for shmups, and despite the simplicity of this one, it really works well with the idea of the Bros working together…plus rapid-firing the ‘boss’ at the end of each section feels really great. Do well and Bowser grows in size! Guess it *wasn’t* the vegetables that made him grow, then… The Tower of Yikk (not YIIK) is a great use of the Giant Battle mechanics, be it the sheer power and force behind your attacks, the chance to go to town on the thing’s head after making it vulnerable, even just the sole fact that they turned what looked like a cosmetic thing in the last fight (pushing the enemy with your punches) into an actual game mechanic with the ‘ring-out’ style that gets emphasized with later fights (even in later games, looking at you, Earthwake!), the tower makes it completely worth the extra round of THAT DAMN SNEEZING GAME. Giant Bowser is a blast to play as, and it makes me so glad they brought back the gameplay for Giant Luigi, but even then the feel is entirely different for the two characters; as Bowser, you’re unstoppable. Doesn’t matter how many attacks and minions the other guy sends at you, you squash ‘em without a second thought! Your punches send even the biggest opponents flying, and your flames could rival that of any volcano! It’s always a blast to play as the behemoth…but what if he were to face a foe that’s not exactly his size?
@akionlizardКүн бұрын
Perhaps a foe that's twice his speed too

Ah the excellent ring. A pretty decent piece of equipment... if you LOVE SP. It can work, but imo you'd need 80 base SP to kinda make it worth it as it clashes with at least another ring and the fill up ring depending on if you expect to finish a battle before you run put of SP or if you want to play the long game (i'd argue 5+ turns, which yeah, never happens really).

18:55 Weirdly enough I kinda found out back in Superstar Saga. My thought process when my brother was playing was "Weird that you can only upgrade HP on these levels". then I tried it myself and just kept upgrading POW. Not much better, I had less HP and other stats. 21:07 In the remake : All Bosses have Fury Status. When Bowser gets into Fury in the Remake when you fight him in the Doctor's Office, he'll eat a drumstick. I've also once made a Fury Build in the Remake. I got Dizzy Status so I was out for a turn, against a boss no less. Boss hit me a lot and next thing I knew, Bowser had 20 HP left,snapped out of it, and got Furious. Clocked close to a thousand damage on the boss my next move after I heal. It was fun having a Fury Build.

01:33 I was! xD 02:36 With Koopa Corps, you can tap anywhere on the screen and Bowser will follow; you don't need to touch his shell. So what I do is that I slide along the right side of the screen so I can see. 03:04 I'm pretty sure you can just select your hand in the remake and the giant battles are mirrored depending on what you selected. It was also like that in Dream Team. 04:06 So we would've actually heard the Inside Bowser-version of this track there but only edited in the video without the audio? _We're getting robbed! Robbed I say!_ 05:28 You're also going to be really overlevelled. I'm usually not level 19 with Bowser until way after the next are with Mario & Luigi. 22:14 Not to mention reaching Gold Boss rank. I definitely never do that before the second Giant Battle. 05:56 Yeah, hitting Y as well as X during the vacuum is really powerful. 09:46 I now wonder if I got into these games so much as did because I read them aloud when I was a kid. I'd already watched lots of Let's Plays when I was young, so I made it a habit of mine to actually read out the dialogue of the games I played, which was mostly Mario & Luigi and Paper Mario. I even did different voices and everything (yeah, I was a bit of a theater kid if you couldn't tell). And maybe that's also part of the reason why you like Xenoblade so much: Its story is presented through dialogue that is actually read to you instead of having to read it for yourself. 14:02 No Emile, teeth are not the same as bones. Just as an example, bones mend on their own, teeth don't. They're very different in composition. 16:39 This is like the most redundant shortcut in the game. You save like maybe 10 seconds with it by not going one screen further south. 17:54 It's probably because you ended the video and then went to do something else after rescuing the Koopas last time. It would seem logical that the whole sequence involving two sneezing minigames and a huge ship wasn't just to obtain an optional special attack. 21:10 I don't know where you got this from, but Midbus can't get this status effect. In the remake, pretty much any boss gets it once its health is low enough, but not in the original game. 21:32 Yeah it seems to be based on amount of hits, so attacks where you get hit in quick succession are usually when it triggers (Dark Fawful's orb-attack is a prime example). 23:26 You're right, we're not going to see this one again. 25:30 I haven't made a comment about this yet, but I love how much fun you seem to be having with this project. And it's especially nice considering all that you went through at the beginning of this year. You seem really well, and I'm glad that you do. ^^
