TSN main here, I feel like it is every bit as good as stock Tri-Slosher, it just plays differently. What really sets Tri-Nouveau apart from both its stickerless brother and other weapons with Seekers is how its main and sub synergize- boat does whatever the bucket can't and vice-versa. Think of something and there's a good chance TSN can do it. In combination, it's one of the slipperiest and most mobile weapons, an infiltrator that can quickly get deep into enemy territory and use terrain, its natural speed, disruptiveness of seekers and actually pretty decent range to its advantage where it can't rely on its own ink. Echo is a free refill for second seeker, and much better at that than Carbon Deco's seeker rush because echo is an actually good special. Bonus points for the best Rainmaker pop this side of bomb rushes- seeker to four sloshes is very fast from neutral, and seeker-echo-seeker can overwhelm the entire enemy team shooting at the shield, though slightly slower and more wasteful. I really advice you to get ink saver sub if you want to play it. Not as in "a sub or two", several main slots worth of it. That way seeker baisically becomes your second main weapon. Experiment to find how many you find to be comfortable, where you can use seekers frequently and not constantly run out of ink, because running dry on enemy turf with such a hungry main is a death sentence. Main saver gets into play at around 3 mains of sub saver when diminishing returns catch up. Ninja squid and ink resistance are not worth it with TSN, neither is run- (doesn't affect sloshers at all) and swim speed- seekers cover most of that. Ink recovery, defense up and special charge/saver, on the other hand, are good abilities to add to your sub saver.

Skidaro sorry to disappoint you, but from what I know of, there aren't going to be anymore splatfests, and the last one they had was callie vs marie, which makes sense to be the final splatfest, since the squid sisters were on teams, so, and I quote the splatfest, it makes sense that it was "the splatfest to end all splatfests"

For your Squid Girl gear, the .52 Deco in Rainmaker would be pretty good. You gain get to the Rainmaker faster, and you have Damage Up for enemies, Defence for its counters, and SSUp for when carrying the Rainmaker. And hey, it has Inkstrike, so Sp. Charge Up is always helpful.

That reminds me that today in Rainmaker (my first time playing Ranked ever!) we had the closest win I think I've ever experienced in Splatoon. So, what happened was, my team was at 47 and they were at 35 for distance with the Rainmaker, and the match went into overtime. My entire team managed to not only make a path for the person with a rainmaker. I thought we wouldn't win it, but at the VERY LAST SECOND, we managed to pull ahead by one point and take the win for ourselves. Needless to say, I was cheering after that.
