Splatoon 2 had a Damage Up joke in it, I wonder if whenever Chuggaa does 3 he'll do one similar Splatoon 2 only more akin to; "So... With all of these elements of Splatoon 1 they returned for this game. I know what you're thinking. And I want to give special attention to Damage Up. BECAUSE IT DIDN'T RETURN! HA! You thought I was gonna say it's back?! NOPE! Not even Main Power Up from Splatoon 2's back! Really goes to show how broken a perk is when not even the attempted fix made it into the sequel. Instead, we have Intensify Action for Shooters and Blasters. This is the closest thing we have to the both of them and it doesn't appear often because it's limited to only two Weapon Classes so I don't have to worry about talking about its effects on weapons endlessly over and over. FINALLY~! Only took them a second sequel to realize generic perks are broken. That being said... Intensify Action sucks ass."

My friend was a range blaster main in Splatoon 1 and oh my GOD he was evil and annoying with it. All his equipment was PURE DAMAGE UP. I became so salty I couldn't play with him for a while. Even after the nerf the ability was still OP. I'm glad it's not in Spla2oon 😂

My opinion is probably gonna be unpopular, but I'll say it anyway : I wish we could still land a splat without fully charging up your charger weapon in Splatoon 2, especially the E-Litre weapons, in some way or another besides hitting a damaged foe (besides squiffer, which never worked that way, bamboozler which will always be a 2 hit at least, and goo tuber which can do it or else it's the most underwhelming weapon besides undercover brella). Besides that, I'm practically okay with no damage up whatsoever in Splatoon 2 since they also removed defense up.

In my opinion Damage Up was overused because of Defense Up. Not every weapon needed Damage Up for the potential reduced ?HKO but every weapon that didn't need it for that had to use it to counter Defense Up. #MakeAbilitiesGreatAgain
