I like the teachers that actually show the forms applications and explain the little details.

I read the comments saying how tense the student is, and here I am, struggling to relax while just opening the stance to do Siu Lim Tao...look at his bong sao for crying out loud, if he was tense his fingers wouldn't flop! It's a lot of work to learn to relax through the motions, and it's even more difficult if you have a whole private lesson to digest every week. I would say the student is learning in great strides!

It takes a long time to properly relax. Especially the shoulders. He does it well, despite the comments. The longer we practice, the less muscle we use. Ironically, we produce far more power once relaxed. It's counter-intuitive for most.

Porque os praticantes de wing chun quando fazem lutas, sparrings não fluem as técnicas aprendidas mesmo entre eles, não conseguem executar nada do que treinam tanto, até entre mestres?

Should of waited a little longer to show your student. Maybe 3 more months? Looks new, still a little lazy doing the form.

META FORM you are right... Back to our time 30 years ago Sifu will not teach you the next form until you are perfectly the Sil Lim Tao....consider we went to class 6 days a week and train 2-3 hours ... This student is a private who can see me 1 per week private learning ...he did not have time .. So I have to teach him the knowledge and he has to work on the form himself...still very stiff and very new... I just want to share my teaching application through chum kiu, not showing his skills here
@metaform65496 жыл бұрын
Agreed, Without Sil Lim Tao, nothing else is possible. Your explanation of the applications is very good. Thank you

META FORM I try to make it easier for my students to learn WC... My time was different ....Shifu never explain anything to us and we did not allow to ask questions ....it meant disrespectful when you ask ...Shifu will tell you when he think he needs to

thx for your advice....he is private student who only come once in a while and take the training by himself from home....I gave him the knowledge and it is up to him to work and progress with it.....of course it will be waited longer if you are regular students in group class.....he asks to post so he wont forget what he learned...
