Next time try a blue moon beer batter with the black drum. It was amazing. Great fish and chips meal for guests.

Awesome as usual. I have been jacked up Bronchitis for 2 weeks and getting over 2 hurricanes in 2 weeks in Florida. Can't wait to get a taste of fall fishing here in Cape Coral.

You know it's going to be a great video when you see the Seaview bag and calm open water!

I like Elias videos because (being in the same general area as him), I can tell what days he DID NOT film this 🤣

Those smaller Black Drum are delicious. I have eaten many of them in the Panhandle of Fla and they are great! Anything between 5-12 lbs are usually clean of worms and are really good eating. Highly reccomend them!😎

I caught 2 nice Permit down in Sanibel Island this Sept. one was 27 lbs and the other was 25.They are not very common but they are there! Of course both on live blue crabs. You have to know what reefs they are on. About 20 miles out in about. 50 ft of water on a artificial reef.😎

Wild to me that the people that eat mullet full of mud knock on the sheeps and black drum

You should buy a flooded place on west coast Florida that someone’s ditching for lot price. Never buy insurance but have fishing access and something to tinker with on side

You speak of the elusive NC permits. Have you stumbled upon any NC tripletail unicorns? Bucketlist fish of mine in NC or the Ches bay. I have seen 2, two separate years, both no bigger than a crappie. Both was just a few miles out on near shore weed line out of Oregon inlet, watched them flutter around for a while before moving on.

I have caught a tripletail from NC on the channel before (17" or so) and seen a few.

No wonder your arms were tired, you put over 100lbs of reds in the yak. Question. When you're vertical jigging are you hitting the bottom on the slackline or keeping it suspended?
@EliasVFishingАй бұрын
I usually hit bottom on slack line for most types of fish 👍

Great video. Last time I was out your way, I got a couple decent fish. Lots of sharks though. Just curious. Are there any times you get skunked?? Water conditions here inland have made the fishing tough. I worked my butt off just for a couple medium size catfish. Anyway, thanks for a great video

It’s pretty tough on the ocean sometimes. Lots of skunk trips.
