That 1st shark was a tank ! If that rod can take that bend it is a keeper. Was looking last week at them, very reasonable. If you go to Okuma USA website, right now they have there Snake head rods on sale for $52, originally $125. Beautiful brown blank, tough, nice guides. I have the 6'8" and A 7'. Just ordered another 7' before there gone. I will get a Jigging World rod eventually. Nothing lame about it, your putting the work in and for most people those are 2 trophy reds.

Looks like a good day out. I was out near you last week for a few days. Caught a couple red drum, a gray trout, a black sea bass, and bunches of sharks. Had mullet out the wazoo where we were camping. Hope to get back out there real soon and try again. Thanks for taking us along.

Been fishing multiple Jigging world rods these past 2 season. onyx surf, nexus as well as Shadow surf, and black widow models. Onyx and nexus inshore and surf models are hard to beat for the $, action and quality of blanks are killer.

Just FYI, blue lenses in the water boost the blue colors all around you causing eye fatigue. You might see better with polarized bronze sunglasses, which will mute the blues and boost contrast.
