This is a pattern I had been interested in doing. But I was a little intimidated by it. But I think I am going to try this. Thanks.!

Amanda, thank you for this pattern and tutorial! I'm working on it now, but I'm a little concerned about how heavy it's feeling. I'm using a 4 weight variegated yarn. I started with a 6.5 hook, but it was too tight and dense. I switched to an 8 mm hook. The drape and texture is much nicer, but I'm only about one-third done and the blanket already seems pretty heavy. Is that just the way it is with the basketweave stitch?

You’re welcome! Because of the front and back post stitches, it does come out a little thicker than other stitches. I’m working on a baby blanket using this stitch. I’m using a lightweight #3 yarn and a size J hook which helps it a little.
