We have a staffy and she hates it when it’s deep winter here in Alaska, her fur is so thin. I think this will be super cute on extremely cold days when she needs to potty, plus her cute warm patchwork coat ❤thank you

Thanks for a super easy pattern! I used some leftover extra bulky blanket yarn so wound up not doing the front post stitches as it would be too bulky. I did the center portion in all single crochet, double in the bands. Came out super cute! My basset hound's long ears will be dry and warm this winter!

Thanks! This is going to work out perfectly for my daughter's 'rescue Greyhound' that she just adopted! He's a brindle color, so thinking the camo would be real cute, like your dogs!

Thank you for this pattern. My daughter's dog will not go outside in the rain. Upon investigating the reason why, we found out that some dogs are frightened of rain as their ears are so sensitive that it sounds almost like canons going off. I saw this on FB earlier today and thought why wouldn't this help Toby? It should muffle the sound greatly. Also, I used a very soft, fuzzy and bulky yarn. Hope this helps him, but I won't know for sure until it rains. It sure turned out cute though and I can hardly wait to try it on him. I know it will be too hot in the summer, but he won't be staying out very long if it's raining anyway. Thanks again for this pattern, it was so easy and fun to work up.

My dogs are the same. And it's easy to slip on and off. Hope it works for your dog.

Is there a way to incorporate an opening in the snood for the leash to hook onto the collar? Greyhounds have fairly long necks and their collars kind of end up in the middle of their necks. Thanks

Janice Page I think you could do a Chain 4 and skip those 4 Sts, to create a hole for the leash clip tp go through.

I used a smaller wool and smaller hook size for a smaller dog with a longer neck and thanks to your great instructions it came out beautifully. Thank you so very much. I love it…however, it would have been much simpler if the camera were behind you so we’re seeing it the proper way, not upside down. Also, you go much too fast…thank you Bonny from Ontario, Canada ❤️

I love this Sara! My pug Yoda gets so cold at his old age! Could u add some sort of drawstring to this around the top part to make sure it’s a closer snuggling fit so it will stay up better? If so how would I go about that? U know some will dress up their dogs for fun but my dog actually does love clothes on.. especially warm snuggle sweaters and coats. He won’t go outside without us putting one on in winter. 🥶 He actually gets excited when he sees us pick up a sweater. 😊 he even sometimes wants some tee shirt or sweater on inside house. Cause like said he gets cold now at old age.

I do not recommend drawstrings around the dogs necks, as it can get caught and choke them. if you need it to fit closer, do some decrease stitches.
@margareto77882 жыл бұрын
I know this is basic, but when you join to the top if your chain at the end of a row, do you put the hook in the hole under the chain, or in the top stitch? Its hard to see in the video and my stitches don't look smooth where they are joined.
@SaraSach2 жыл бұрын
When You join, You always put your hook through the top ch, This is so you don't get a big hole.

I think snood is an “S” for scarf but connected like. The cowl, but hood too!!! It’s a cowl but can be an infinity scarfie or any length , could even keep going like a sweat hoodie !!

You are thinking of a Scoodie, snood: noun; a wide ring of knitted material worn as a hood or scarf.

By regular yarn do you mean Worsted weight (4), you can if you use 2 strands held together.

sorry I like the pattern but it is not a snood a snood is a net bag(knitted)worn on the back of the head to keep hair tidy also the flap of skin in the front of a turkey's neck ya the red thing most call a whottle at least that is what the actual dictionary says
@SaraSach6 жыл бұрын
Yes, it is a Snood. It is a Cowl designed to keep your dog's ears warm. The Snood you are referring is a hair snood. Try googling Dog Snood.
