How do you think I can get Pom poms on to my big hand knit blanket? I love your videos by the way! So informative all of them I have been watching :)
@diylilyardor34356 жыл бұрын
AWE thank you :D OOOH pom poms sound lovely. They would look so cute on the blanket. Here's how I make my pom poms. I found this pin on pinterest. (wonderfulDIY.com makes them) www.pinterest.com/pin/426364289704201378/ I would make them the same way and the tails that are left I would just tie right onto the edge of the blanket. :D Hope that makes sense. :D
@kattgux11216 жыл бұрын
Lily Ardor how would I tie them in the entire blanket like random spots? Wild they fall off when washing? Also I wanted to add a tag on them to personalize it more should I hand sew or what do you recommend?
@diylilyardor34356 жыл бұрын
@@kattgux1121 I would do the pom poms along the edges of the blanket. Just my personal preference. It will give the blanket a clean modern look and not distract from the chunky knit as much as if you had them randomly around the blanket. Yes I would hand sew the tags on. Not sure how the poms poms would hold up while washing :( never tried it. Worst case scenario you could probably tie it back on ? :)

Lily Ardor thank you so much for your time. Also can you recommend me what brand is the best for the hand knit blankets with little to no shedding from Joann’s, Michaels, Hobby Lobby, Amazon, or anywhere online. Thank you Lily!! ✨🥇

I apologize I've been trying to make my recent videos a lot slower :(
@allysonw84724 жыл бұрын
No doubt that it is beautiful yarn and a pillow. Little disappointed that I'd have to bounce back and forth between two videos (and/or a blog) to see how to start and keep going. I guess I'm too much of a beginner for the videos. :/

I wasn’t bothered by the speed. I like that you get to the point. There are links in the description and you can adjust the speed in settings. She does reference a previous video for the basics of the pillow.

Hoe much yarn do you need for a standard size pillow?
@diylilyardor34357 жыл бұрын
So for my pillow I used 22m yarn. The size of my pillow is 14″ by 12″. I used 2 skeins of 7.9 oz (24yds) each. I had just enough with the two skeins. I talk more about it here www.lilyardor.com/chunky-knit-pillow/ Let me know if you have anymore questions. :D :D
Holy Cow...this was so fast! Is there anyway you could do this slower...especially on how to close the sides. Great video but no way to follow it!

Oh man I'm so sorry Marty. I'll see if I can make another video for both the blanket and pillow. Did you check out the blog post. Maybe that'll help - www.lilyardor.com/chunky-knit-pillow/
