Great points captain. I’m the lead security. You brought up great points and I will share your points with my pastors and elders about this. Thank you for your views and keep up good work.

Having Trauma medical gear is very important. Thing is to get the church staff and pastor on board with getting these supplies to save lives in case of an attack or mass murder happening in/at a church. Many pastors put their heads in the sand and dont care. It is scary and sad.

Training and being aware of the "new" people coming to a service is one thing, but a person who is a known person, I feel the complacency factor may creep in - "oh I know him, he's okay." Apparently not. Church security cannot be on hand for all functions, so thank God for people who step up to the plate when it counts. Plus the mindset of "it's the elderly pot luck group, who would harm them?" Main point: stay prayed up and be heads up at all times. Cpt. great point about the possibility of being sued for "not taking action." It's the world we live in now. Let the Holy Spirit lead

What a tragedy but truth of the matter is that it can happen any time training is paramount

Good video Sir!! I have spoken to my Pastor about these things and all I get is "We are off the beaten path, it won't happen here" NOT - Those churches probably thought the same thing. By the way I am a senior citizen and can't do much physically anymore but I am trained!!

Hey AZ, I left some thoughts on your other comment from a different video. Be very cautious about doing too much without the church agreeing to have an official security team concept. Try to education your pastor / priest where you can and pray that they begin to realize that while chances of the big stuff happening are slim, there are a lot of other things that can disrupt our services and scare our people and those can happen anywhere. But to the big stuff ideas.....Look up the shooting at Selma Alabama a few years ago. Extremely small church, only a handful of people attending. Find the video after the shooting incident, where the Pastor talks about getting security and cameras and everything and how he never thought something like that could happen at his small small church!

@@ChurchSecurityAnswers Thanks for this video. I know there are a couple others that carry so in the event something does happen we should be covered.

I wouldn't even put the lawsuit idea out there for bad people to abuse! I don't think they could sue the church because they can't form a lawsuit against walmart or any other public place for what bad guys do.

Thanks True for watching and sharing some thoughts, unfortunately on this platform we have to talk about the bad and the good ideas.

Bottom line….. train for it all! Pay attention pay attention pay attention. Sadly we likely will not stop a killing but at the very least mitigate the number of fatalities. It’s a great idea to cross train the security team procedures with others that would be in these other events/classes etc.. most church’s are lucky to even have a team and if so they are usually 1-3 and simply not trained to handle this stuff. We need to be in communication with local law enforcement to create a bridge to get people at least some basic training. Any training is better than none…. Depending on who is doing the training haha. Anyway, just had in class training Monday and range day tomorrow. We have to be proactive

Hey Man.....a lot to unpack in your comments! But you are right we have to do our best and be on the ball with our ideas and our teams these days!
