I lived for a few years about 2 minutes walk from Sta.Prassede, but because it is so hidden it was months before I discovered it. I think very few pilgrims come across it. It is one of my favourites. The gold and colours of the little chapel completely lined with byzantine mosaics are breathtaking…. Not so visible in the video because of the lighting. It is a very interesting basilica, and about 100 metres from the Via Merulana side of St.Mary Major.

Thank you so much for focusing in for such a good amount of time on part of the pillar to which Our Lord was tied during His scourging! And to know a little piece of the holy seamless tunic and one of the thorns is also here! According to Dom Gueranger, Pope Paschal I placed 2,300 bodies of holy martyrs in San Praxedes! What prayers of intercession are available to us in this church! Thank you also for the information on Giovanni Battista di Rossi. Beautiful and very informative video!
