How are you doing. I went thru same as you. Spiritual wise. I promised to not sin as i have. I promised to read book of mormon. Then i fell into a deep dark depression. I continued to read book of mormon and ask for forgivness. I prayed and prayed. I ll always remember that pray. Today I still have turned away from that sin. He has given me power. But i have followed his gospel doctrine. I pray all time. I read scripture in morning or when i fell compelled to. I go to church and receive sacrament after almost two years today i received the Melchizedec priesthood. So yes you can do it. God loves all his children and wants us to be great. Next is temple endowments. I have done my way and lead me away. My way did not produce anything but depression. Now i follow the teachings of jesus christ and dont ever want to turn away. I have felt misery and dont wish it upon no one. Now all i want is to drink of the cup of life. The gospel of jesus christ.

I have an example of being spoken to by god. Back before I had been baptized, there was a constant voice in my head. It kept saying, “you need to get baptized. You need to get baptized.” That was the best thing that has ever happened in my life 😁

@@rodriguez7198 After God gave me the Holy Spirit, I found proof that TV, movies, watching sports (violence like football, covet and idols), novels, music, video games and computer games are all sins, except Christian stuff that don’t have sins like sermons and Christian music words that gives messages. I found out that in them there is lying, stealing, adultery (Matthew 5:28 looking at someone with lust is adultery), fornication which is sex before marriage, revenge, murder, jealousy, pride=self-pity, hypocrisy, using God’s name in vain as a curse word, they are all idols (breaks 2nd Commandment) because most people can’t live without them and they love them more than God and more. Just read the 10 commandments for a list. 1 John 2:15 King James Version (KJV) 15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 New King James Version 9 Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, 10 nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God. Now I will be preaching about how to receive the Holy Spirit and be 100% going to Heaven. First, it’s only by the grace of God that he gives you faith in Jesus Christ in order to give up your sins. It’s only by the grace of God that he leads you to pray to him to destroy all your evil desires of watching TV or any sinful desires. When you pray to God to destroy all your evil desires of watching TV or sinful desires (Romans 6:6-7 and Galatians 5:24), Satan will intervene and extremely tempt you in watching the TV. But if it’s God’s will and if you are one of God’s elects, you will overcome it and God will destroy all your evil desires of watching TV. After God has destroyed all your evil desires of watching TV and if you are one of God’s elects, you receive the joy of the Holy Spirit for a short amount of time. After the joy wears off, all existence of boredom no longer exists and you no longer burn out (psychology) anymore. That is when you have received the Holy Spirit. Then it’s by the grace of God that he forgives you of your sins, as you confess and repent of your sins throughout your life which is called sanctification. After you have received the Holy Spirit and have confessed and repented of any known sins that you have done, then you pray to God to get rid of all evil spirits out of you. Say “In the name of Jesus Christ I bind and cast out all evil spirits out of me.” Then automatically your mouth will open and you will exhale all those evil spirits out of you. I agree! My brother is serving a mission in Mexico and he says that a lot of the time they receive revelation through visions! I think that's very cool, and uncommon in the USA. The Spanish-speaking people all over the world could use this. :)

Something I've learned about revelation is that it comes in many more ways, way more often than we think it does. (And it happens everyday!) And as I've sought revelation more often, I always become surprised at just how often he reveals his will to us! I've felt that, by following his revelations, my capacity for joy, the amount of promptings I receive, and desires to do good have ALL increased! Doing these promptings, these revelations, is also essential in aligning our will with God's will.

I know that God loves each of us his children equally, and with all his heart, might, mind, strength, and whole soul. Because we are all very important to him, he will speak to each of us individually, and will help us to know how we can follow him. I've asked for his help and guidance many times, and I know that he hears and answers prayers. I've asked him about the truthfulness of the Book of Mormon, and he spoke peace to my mind, and soul that it is indeed true. I remember my first revelation! It was a voice I heard but not through my ears. It was like a thought but loud. I wanted Him to not end the world too soon because I wasn't ready. Then as I nagged Him waiting for a yes, as I said "Lord, I am not prepared", He came to me and said "Then prepare." I cannot deny it was Him. And the voice was so filling. I was lost for words. I couldn't speak, and just shut up. On that day, I knew God was there and hearing me. I was like, 9 I think.

I will always know the church is true from my own death in 2015. No drugs or alcohol in system I stopped breathing and I died. I was shocked multiple times to be brought back. Then I was in a coma 10 days and woke up right before the plug was to be pulled. I awoke, had lost my hearing. That was what happened to my body. My spirit? I was floating. Being a chronic pain patient I first noticed there was no pain, I felt none. It was so bright, I saw a young woman about my age. She kept calling me all the old nick names I had, sweetie pie, pumpkin, so on so fourth. I also had two memories stick out to me. One of myself as a child painting gourds in the backyard (gourds are a fruit I believe that main purpose is to use the beans and such inside to shake like a rattler instrument when dried) But I watched myself from a few feet away it was not through my own eyes. Then, the day I gave birth I stood again a few feet away watching myself give birth to my son. I returned back to the woman, she had told me I could stay here. Or I could go back but I have to hang on right now. What was my choice? The only thing I thought of was "my son. Where is my baby?" I had just given birth a few months prior. So she said it was time to wake up. Right at wake up, my eyes opened. Machines breathing for me, doctors all around my mother was there. All in all...I lost a lot that day. But I gained so much more. My hearing meant everything to me, being a musical theater nerd and all I loved musicals. I forever won't be on stage like the old days, but I know the truthnow. Because. Months later. We went through an old photo album of my grandparents. Then that photo, of that woman appeared. I pointed it out immediately to my mother and explained that was who I saw. My mom started tearing up. "You know who that is right?" Me: some...great aunt or something? Her: no, thats grandma! She looked exactly the same as she did when she was in her 20s. Not like the last time I had seen her at all. No other, I repeat no other religion says this specific detail. You are in your prime in heaven, young again basically. I grew up in the church. But as I became an adult I pulled away. But now I know. And I would do it again in a heart beat. Our heavenly father loves us and we may not always understand him but he does love us

Thanks for sharing your story. It matches up with other out-of-body and near-death experiences I've heard. I think you would find it very interesting to listen to Darius J Wright on KZbin. He has many out-of-body experiences because he's learned how to do it while the body is unconscious during sleep state. Says it's just like a near-death experience except controlled. Where he is fully conscious in soul body, outside of physical body. He says it's more real than the reality of this life. I might add that just because you realize there is life on the other side doesn't mean that any one church is true. just that the things you saw are real. I grew up in the Church but didn't realize the Golden Plates, First Vision, Restoration of Priesthood etc were not actually true history, but rather a story evolved from Joseph that we repeat today, like Santa Claus is. Everyone believes in Santa and celebrates him, but we know he doesn't really come down chimneys. The same with Joseph and his claims

I am in a small branch (about 35 in attendance including some children) and may use this video, even though the lesson is going to be "We Can Do Hard Things Through Him" by Elder Morrison. We recently were blessed with elders (missionaries) and now have a few new friends each week who would be lost in our regular class - but we haven't kept up quite yet as we do not have a Gospel Doctrine or Gospel Essentials class yet. I know that life is hard and sometimes I struggle with it too, what I do is I pray and seek God's comfort telling him of my pain and struggles and I would like to invite you to read the Book of Mormon and to pray and asks God the Father in the name of Jesus Christ to know if the Book of Mormon is true. Sometimes we just need a little bit help and that's okay. God loves you and he will never let you go keep hanging in there, there is a point in all this, the gospel is also about helping you get through challenges in life its not always going to take away your pain. Remember that the Savior understands you completely and that he loves you. I know that this church is true and I know as I continue to pray and read the scriptures everyday I will find more strength and a stronger testimony doubt your doubts before you doubt your faith he is there and he loves you he has a plan for you. The plan of Salvation is God's plan for the happiness of His children. It is centered on the Atonement of Jesus Christ. If you will follow the teachings of Jesus Christ, you will find lasting inner peace in this life and eternal joy after death. As you learn about the plan of salvation, you will find answers to these questions: "Where did I come from?" "What is my purpose in life?" "Where will I go after this life?" This is the man who stands closest to the fountain of living waters. There are some heavenly instructions for us that we can only receive through the prophet. A good way to measure your standing with the Lord is to see how you feel about, and act upon, the inspired words of his earthly representative, the prophet-president. Idk if this counts as a divine revelation but this is my story.. I'm not a Christian, but I was brought up in a Christian environment, i went to a Christian missionary school, i used to go to the church every week.. my childhood isn't a happy one, I was lonely and had family issues.. one night my parents started to fight I was on a staircase started to cry so much, i heard a sound like a rope snaps, my tearful eyes were blinded by white light.. I felt someone or something hugged me from behind, that hug was warm it calmed me. I heard a voice of someone idk if that was a male voice or female.. that voice told me : "Dont worry my child, you are destined for greatness, never loose hope, god is with you".. after that I looked behind there was no one there.. I was close to fainting, but i stopped crying.

I am so happy you felt so much peace revelation from this video. I promise if you do then you will find a greater understanding of the gospel of Jesus Christ and why we have the Book of Mormon today and what Joseph Smith did for us as well as the Savior Jesus Christ. What a beautiful thing that Jesus Christ came and can help us (and the world) heal from any sadness, hurt, and damage that is a result of us personally and other people using their free will in a negative way. I truly know that as we open our hearts and our lives up to Jesus Christ on a daily basis - we can start to feel healing in our souls. Anyone who does this, regardless of troubles or hurt caused by themselves or others, can slowly feel his healing, peace, and joy enter their lives and transform their existence. It's a painful process to overcome destruction, but it's a process that looking back now I am so grateful for because after all is said and done we each have an opportunity to learn and grow and heal and become through overcoming our obstacles through and with Jesus Christ. ♥️ Much love, as one who has experienced many hardships and questioned why these things are allowed in the world, I can now share that I know all will be made right someday we will understand it all someday and in the mean time we all have a savior available to us to help us along the way. A savior who can help us find joy, even in/after difficult circumstances. Jesus name, amen.
