Churumuri is a puffed rice snack that is also a street food in Karnataka which is one of the most go to snacks for the people in the Coastal belt of this state. Kumbashi Pai Charmuri has gained its popularity due to its crispy nature and yummy taste. This shop is located just few steps away from NH66 Udupi-Kundapura near Kumbashi Anegudde Vinayaka Temple. We had the opportunity to film this gentleman and get to know his story.

Glad that Churmuri shop keeper has recovered from back pain. Six months back I visited Kumbashi for temple visit and Churmuri. Waited for 2-3 hours for his shop to open in evening only to discover that he was on leave that day due to back pain. I came to know by calling him. Happy to know from this video that he is fine now. My thought is as a gesture of gratitude, we(interested people) should financially support him. It is social responsibility to care for helpless and lonely senior citizens especially when they are serving people with signature food.

Glad that you all are bringing little things to light! Loved each and every frame, has a different touch! Totally felt like I was right there. Pai mam's Churmuri Angadi has been our favourite go to place every time we visit Kumbhashi Anegudde temple. We make sure to call mam before hand so that my dad can take packed packets of Churmuri (the neatly packed ones) to distribute to everyone. Mam has always been cooperative along with his wife. She also works hard along with him. They make special Tomato Upkari- The Churmuri with extra loaded masala and tomatoes and Majjige Soda! He has shared couple of good things always and also how few of them cheated them by fleeing away whilst withdrawing money from ATM. Whoever's visiting here do carry cash and please do not cheat any vendors this way. They work hard to make their living everyday!

Very touching life story. He should not hesitate to pass it on to his daughters if they don’t mind . He should draw inspiration from Apollo chain of hospitals ( 4 daughters are managing the complete business) . Or he can pass it on to other people whom he likes. His talent should not go waste, they can do dry packaging sitting at home as well.

Im from this place grown up eating this amazing churmuri they also have buttermilk soda so which tastes very different and must try... There is another shop in other temple road of kumbashi which serves masala puri and 2other items and its there from years and I bet u won't be disappointed after tasting there, Ihave seen couple of ur videos so please make a video on that too as that deserves to be in ur list..
