I looooove the sound of mechanical bells. Not a big fan of electronic bells. The crossing by my house was recently switched out from mechanical to electric. Part of my enthusiasm for being stopped at that crossing when a train was passing died when they took the mechanical bells away.

Sadly the crossing bell @04:09 was replaced by an E-Bell as of January 2022. If my memory serves me correct, that crossing is located on Old Genessee Road just South of Tickfaw, LA.
