Amazing, this actually ended up being the perfect Davis game, Jesse wasn't lying and wasn't even mean about it. Like, there literally was no Monkey's Paw twist, this was exactly Davis's vibe: scary because of jump scares, but you get the gun instantly and so feel empowered, there was a weirdly sexual undertone to it, and there's even arcade-y replayability to it. The only thing it was missing was, like, a dozen more rubber ducks.

Fun fact: The Tin Man paint had nothing to do with his skin breathing and only ever covered Buddy Ebsen's head. It did however contain some unknown chemical(s), so weeks into filming he started having difficulty breathing and cramping, so he was sent to the hospital where he almost died from lung failure. Jake Haley then took the role, they reformulated the paint, and he had no issues.

Other "fun" facts: the Scarecrow's mask was so tight it scarred the actor's face, and the Wicked Witch skin dye lasted for MONTHS after shooting. The Witch's actress was also badly burned on set; after she refused to work with pyrotechnics any more (understandably), her stunt double was burned as well. Iconic movie, but the production was a horrorshow.

The original makeup was dusted over with aluminum powder, to make it nice and shiny, which also made the insides of his lungs nice and shiny by coating them, too. O_O Horrifying. I guess it's at least good that he didn't have to go from having his lungs wrapped up like jacket potatoes to skipping around in the asbestos snow on the poppy fields later, though?

Buddy Ebsen had to leave the role of the Tin Man, because the metallic paint they were using was powder-based and he was breathing it in. When Jack Haley took over, they switched to a paste. I believe Ebsen continued to have upper respiratory issues well after working on the film.

I have a compliment about this game that requires harsh criticism to explain. I feel like the developer had very little vision or experience but a ton of tools and skill. This is what I think made this game so fun. It is a real raw challenge not bogged down by the rigid dogma of most modern games. This game feels so liberated. While it can be much better, it is so refreshing to have a game that feels like the dev had fun and made something fun.

As crazy as this game is, the most crazy part is that the shotgun cost double of what you had at that pointm like i dont think you missed that many coins on the way and even then, after only having a gun the whole time, a free shotgun would be nice as variety

The tin man conversation leads perfectly in to a conversation about the Wicked Witch. They were using an incredibly toxic powdered copper oxide based paint to get the greens on the Wicked Witch, and it caused problems for Margaret Hamilton as well - Notably when it caught on fire because it's very flammable and the pyrotechnics crew triggered an effect early, in an early scene. But she also couldn't eat or drink while wearing it
