Robert Smith....the living legend singer of The Cure together with Chvrches singing a progressive rock song with these deep lyrics... This is overwhelmingly good and said at the same time

Wait your in fremont too!! haha. anyhow I'm a big chvrches fan the lyrics are by Lauren (lead singer of chvrches) and the song is about in 2019 chvrches did a collab song with Marshmello called "here with me" that is their biggest hit in fact but after they worked with him on that song he went and worked with chris brown who is a well known woman abuser so they denounced and disowned having worked with him and chris brown fans came after Lauren directly on the internet threatening all kinds of terrible things to her and she had to hire personal security for the first time ever it was so insane and she feared for her life. its a sad song about persevering through that. the entire album had a horror theme to it as well so it slotted into that as well. Violent Delights is also loosely based on this same time period in her life lyrically.

I'd recommend The Mother We Share, Miracle, Clearest Blue, Killer, all by CHVRCHES (pronounced churches)

Lauren Mayberry, the lead singer, is the primary song writer. The 2 guys, Martin and Iain, do the music. Alot of thir songs have a fairly deep message. Try Graffiti or California for that.
